Finally got around to swapping the Type R module to the Type S module. For me, it's a big difference in terms of how much better the car manages transitions in the pavement, bumps, etc. It's much more compliant, predictable and way less chaotic/bouncy. I feel more comfortable driving it hard because it way less rowdy. Also, much better daily driving experience. The only negative I am noticing is the initial turn in doesn't feel as darty/pointy as with the R module. Don't get me wrong, the car handles great with the Type S module, but something feels different on the turn in. Net, net however, I am enjoying the Type S module more. It's more comfortable and easier to drive hard. I did a recent ride back from Key Largo to Miami and the car was so bouncy with R module much of the ride and that was when I decided I got to take the Type S module out of the box and give it a shot. Glad I did!
