I plan on daily driving the vehicle and using it in the winter time here the lowest it gets is about 25° don’t see myself tracking the car for some time so I think the set up will work well
I don't think you can go wrong with this size. More sidewall for peace of mind. It fills the wheel well better but doesn't look 'chunky'. Bit of a sweet spot if you ask me.

I am running 265/35/19 with H&R springs and H&R 20MM front and 25MM rear spacers with no issues. 275's are only .4 inches wider so I don't foresee a problem. There are a number of users here running 275 width tires.

I am about to lower on H&R and I have 275/35/19 and some people are saying it will rub. Based on your setup I dont see how it would. I may even try to run 15mm F&R spacers. If your not having issues with 265’s, I hope I will be fine.

I just got a set of 275/35/r19 Continental Extreme Contact Sport 2 mounted last week. I think the extra width helps for the Contis that seem to have a lower "shoulder" than the Michelins. Absolutely no regrets and no rubbing (stock suspension). I was a devout Michelin fan for two decades but this will now be my third set of Contis (Extreme Contact DWS 6+ mounted to a second set of rims for the Type R and for full time use on my Accord) and I have to say I am a convert.
I'm looking into this exact set-up. Any thoughts on the road noise levels compared to the OE Michelins? (I'm hoping the Contis are quieter)

Good question! It has been a month since I swapped to my winter set up so I would not be confident providing anything definitive. I can say with some confidence that I have no memory of believing noise levels had increased. All that said, I probably have a higher "tolerance" for tire noise than the average driver. Sorry I can't be more helpful here.

I have been running 275/35R19 Michelin PS5's since last week - put about 500km on them already with a fair amount of highway driving, wet and dry. They been fantastic. Ride is significantly better especially over broken asphalt/potholes, and the highway roar from the tyres is better that the OEM PS4S's. Highly recommend the switch.

Has any one tracked tires in this size, without any rub. I'm racing COTA next week, and have to be 1000% sure. I'm on stock suspension, stock ride height, stock OEM Rims. I was not sure if I saw anyone tracking this tire size on stock rims. My only suspension modification is ball joints ~ 3 degrees negative in front tires.

  • Front camber: about -2.8 LF / -3.2 RF
  • Front toe: -0.07° total toe-out
  • Rear toe: +0.28° total toe-in
Would appreciate anyone that's tracked these size tires with sustained loads on track, braking, sustained high g level turns, etc, . Let me know asap your experience! Am I 1000% safe to run these at COTA?

I just ordered 8 PIRELLI P ZERO CORSA (PZC4) track tires, in 275/35/19 because they were a crazy deal.

With stock ride height and that camber you will be more than OK. Even with stock camber at - 1.4 degrees you will be fine with that spec tyre.

Thanks for the feedback. I've only run the stock tire size on track both the 4s and Cup 2 --Curious have you tracked the tire on this configuration? And if so what was your experience in gearing, speed, balance, etc vs running on stock tire size 265/30/19?

I haven't tracked it yet, no. I have only driven it hard on poorly surfaced tarmac with heavy compressions etc. So far so good.

I have actually recently driven up two sidewalks for parking where a back wheel is lifted in the air. No rubbing there either.

Overall gearing feels a tad longer and car generally puts its power down better. The stock Ps4s would just spin up unless they were super hot. Now I have more daily grip and usability. I actually have a suspicion from a dig it will beat the standard setup to 60mph/100kph.

Can anyone else confirm this 275/35/19 works on track during cornering loads and maximum forces?

Here is why I'm concerned, you can see it's getting really close to the fender, and this is a stock car with only negative camber ball joints in front ---

Would appreciate anyone's feedback that has tracked the tires asap!

This is what the stock tire looks like under heavy compression on track in a right hander.

Here are the results after 2 heavy track days at COTA in the Advanced group on 275/35 19 Pirelli PZero Corsa Track tires.

Positives:

1) The extra side wall feels very good, more compliant vs than racing on 265/30 19's OEM 4S DT1's or Cup 2's
2) Tires wore evenly vs 30 inch profiles

Negatives:

1) There was rubbing under high load, high g force sustained sweepers at COTA. Front Right did eat through the plastic wheel liner, but did not hit metal.

2) Gearing was reduced, my top speed on straights was usually 132-134mph on 30 profile side walls, vs ~120-122mph ( adjusted with 4mph speedo )

Front Right:

Front Left:

Conclusion is - 275/35 19's work, and for most all people not tracking the car you will not rub, but if you are tracking the car, you will rub, but it won't rub into the metal, just the plastic liner.

If you continue to track your car you will eventually wear away all that plastic and then you can technically say it doesn't rub "anymore" . Hey yo !
