Haven't posted in the build thread in a while. Not too much done, new wheels and tires, and changed to Spoon Sports Mirrors.

I do have some parts waiting for me to stop being lazy and install.

HKS Intercooler
Honda FL5 JDM Euro Horns
Origin Fabrication Coolant Expansion Tank
RV6 Camber , Toe Arms, and Sway Bar (Still debating if I want to install the sway bar or not)

Have other parts on order waiting to be delivered.

Honda LED Tailgate Light
Spoon Thermostat

While out running errands today I did get a wash, clay and polish and ceramic coat. The paint and trim feels almost as smooth as glass and looks so good!

Question: did you not like the rexspeed mirrors? why the change if I may ask?
No, I still have them. Just another forum member was selling their Spoon mirrors for a really good price that I could not pass up.

Updating to the build thread. Installed the Carbing Radiator Reservoir Tank for the FL5, might as well get the OEM tank changed out now before it cracks and leaks later.

Pretty easy to install, took maybe 15-20 minutes, most of the time was to siphoning out the coolant in the tank. Having hose pinch off pliers definitely helps to prevent any leaks. Pressure tested it just in case, thankfully there's no leaks.

Looks pretty good under the hood.

Also added the Honda Alcantara steering wheel to the interior. Really nice upgrade, feels a lot better in the hands and adds that premium touch like some other higher end cars have.

I was before, but ended up wanting a silver tank. Sold the black Origin tank, was gonna order a silver Origin tank, but orders are not opened and I missed the last window when it was. Ordered the Carbing tank instead.

Got it. The bare metal does look nice on either. Origins looks better than an expansion tank ever should, also is harder to get and costs more than one ever should.

Added some new bits to the FL5 recently.

Added the Improved Racing Catch Can, Billetworkz weighted shift knob, and the Element 50 Fire Extinguisher and seat rail bracket, and the JDM Honda Tailgate LED light.

As always, links and everything are added to the first post in the thread.

Sweet build so far...Regarding the Improved Racing Catch Can:
  1. Any fitment issues during installation?
  2. After installing, is the lower reservoir easily accessible for removal or would you recommend adding the optional bottom cap with a drain port?
  3. What other catch cans did you consider before deciding on the one from Improved Racing?
Thanks for sharing. I was looking to add a catch can and the one from Improved Racing was one that I had not seen before but looks very functional.

No fitment issues that I found yet. It does come very very close to the AC line bracket that's next to it, literal millimeters off. Yes, the reservoir is easy to remove, I think its easier than having to reach under and use a drain.

I used to have a Mishimoto catch can on previous Civics, but it was a pain in the ass to screw off the reservoir to empty, cant really get a good grip on it. Practically had to uninstall it and use a bench vise to help unscrew it.
