I’ve had Passport and Beltronics detectors. Passport had a lot of features that I found to be more gimmicky that useful. The Beltronics (STi Driver) was great and when living in Virginia, undetectable. I now have the Gen 2 Valentine and think it’s in a class of its own in terms of sensitivity and AI. It’s been criticized for not having GPS, but if you dig into the literature it’s not needed the way the Gen 2 is setup. Make sure to buy it directly from the manufacturer too! Plus, it gets regular updates and there are many apps that extent its utility. My favorite is George Mills’ V1Driver available for iPhone. Finally, the Gen 2 is expensive, on the larger size compared to others, power hungry, somewhat ugly, has a steep learning curve owing to its many features, uses red LEDs, but outperforms everything else in my estimation.
Make that Escort rather than Passport-LOL

Wishing everyone on the Forum a safe and happy new year. I sincerely appreciate the help I received while waiting for the car to get in. Enjoy your new cars. 1 last question? If you had to decide on a radar detector designed for dummies like myself, would you get the Escort 360 redline or the Valentine 1 Gen 2 There’s only a 2 or 3 hundred dollar difference but if I . Want to plug it in and don’t have to figure anything out except put it on the windshield and hope it works, Any preference?
Thanks again for everything
If you want an all in one package, set it and forget it type of radar detector that has flagship performance, then Escort Redline 360c. Get the 3 year defender database subscription as well. The only "zonk" with this detector is that the reactivity isn't the very best, but has great performance all around. I had the original Escort Redline which was the king of performance at the time, and recently upgraded to this.

Many thanks for the encouragement! I needed it Just moments ago, received a call from the salesman that my Type R (Boost Blue), is still at the rail yard awaiting a driver to deliver it. So, doesn't look like I'll have it before 2023, but in the meantime I'm enjoying all the posts about those who have and their excitement. It's contagious! Happy New Year to you and all who may read this.
I'm still right there with you. Good news is neither of us has to worry about winter and can get straight to enjoying them whenever they finally arrive. My salesman has been fighting with Honda to get it to me as well. He showed the receipts. I'm trying to see the bright side and say my payoff is much lower now and I have extra down payment to toss at it. I wasn't really expecting to get the first allocation as I was second on the list anyways. That said I'd wish they would hurry up. They were sure it would arrive by the 22nd, then they were assured it would arrive by the end of the year.

Same situation here. Spoke to salesman (great guy) and he said mine was still at the CSX rail yard ~16 miles away along with several other cars that have been promised. He added that the dealership was at the mercy of getting a trucker to drive it over. Hard for me to believe that a trucking carrier can be so unaccountable. Any way, when we get them, we should meet up with everyone else who has had to endure this mess for beers and sharing stories.

I can tell you most car carriers work really hard. They are mostly small businesses that contract with the larger carriers. They are also contractually obligated to get the car to you within a set time of them being unloaded. My best guess is they aren't unloaded yet. The rail yard workers are union and aren't under the same deadlines at the car carriers. I'm sure they took it easy the last few weeks with the holidays.

Sorry to bother you folks but may I ask a quick question. Not going to use the red Mats and have had Weather Tech in my last couple of cars. Checked with them and they informed me, they don’t as of yet make them for the FL5. However I have seen you tube videos with people with weather tech mats. Which ones are they using then ? They have the Honda high bucket ones for me at the dealership but would rather have something else, since the Honda Mats are not all weather and more expensive then the WT. any ideas?
Thank You for your time.

Would they keep the snow off the carpet as good as the OEM high bucket mats. Thanks for your help. Or you think I should still try to get Weather Tech or something else that fits the R ?

I would assume so. It does have walls but not as high as the high carpet mats. Kindve like a tray type mat. I don’t have to deal with snow since I live in Florida.

Still waiting and there’s no end in sight even though it’s just 16 miles away! It’s also disappeared from the VIN location finder.

Just received a call from the salesperson that mine arrived at the dealership at 8:30 p.m. Now just need to get Trey's in too!
