After installing the GruppeM, there’s absolutely a couple of places that could lend to user error in the installation. If done correctly, and you take your time, it should be fine.I heard Gruppe M have rough idle problem wonder if the blitz intake would have the same problem
My infinity Design was the first in the country and it does not have a hood fitment issue. Any fitment issue is due improper installation. I did have the coupler and just reused the stock but they sent me a replacement which I’m too lazy to installIm currently trying to decide which intake to get out of the 2 mentioned, I have spoken to people here who have ran both and I'm kinda swaying towards Infinity design though I have been told they had some issues mainly being the fitment and the silicone coupler deteriorating that connects to the air box.
I reached out to Infinity Design and this was their reply.

I have the GruppeM now, which is basically the same as the Blitz with a different filter. Install was a pain in the ass, but it’s awesome and I’m glad I have it now. It has a number of advantages in my opinion and I have zero regrets with the GruppeM.Too many options lol but i think i lean more towards blitz intake but what you guy think Between blitz or infinity
Blitz is what Max Orido chose for hisToo many options lol but i think i lean more towards blitz intake but what you guy think Between blitz or infinity
Yeah. It’s a stainless filter. Not sure how well those work in comparison to other filters.Isn't the filter for Blitz a metal mesh type element? Not sure how well it filters compared to cotton/paper type.
Hey,I had no issues with fitment on the hood side. The only issue with fitment I ran into was clearance with a wiring harness for the radiator fans. One of the corners of the airbox actually sat against the harness. I have not heard of anyone else having this issue, so maybe it was something wonky with my car specifically or I did something incorrectly.
As for the coupler, they actually include a second coupler in the box as a backup. I had zero issues with the coupler. I will admit the coupler doesn’t feel extremely substantial, though I shouldn’t see much stretch/movement once it’s installed.
