New parts will solve the problem as we have discussed in this thread ;)

I just had this happen today (~700 miles) and I'm getting P3044 (cam position sensor) but same dash errors...

I'm grumpy about this and can't decide if I should try to clear it myself and wait until it happens a second time, or take it in Monday

Just take it in. It’s better to start the process with Honda in case it pops up again. Maybe there’s a fix for it. If it becomes something worse, then it’s all on record. The second time the car has the same error, the dealership shop has to call the Honda Corp Tech line. The third time it happens, they have to get a Master Tech to fix it.

Seeing that a lot of people had this problem early on in their mileage… just had the emission system problem and rev matching system problem pop up at 9800 miles- don’t have a scanner but my dealership says their evaluation appointments are 6 hours.. I’ll follow up on this thread as to what they say

To those still following this thread who have catch cans- When the dealer scanned they got the code P0507 " Idle Control System RPM Higher Than Expected" - I never noticed high idle rpms, was always a bit below 1k.
I'll start by mentioning only mods I have are the Radium PCV and CCV catch cans, Coolant expansion tank. Apparently some of the hosing got loose leading to a vacuum leak. For now has been resolved, we'll see what happens

I had this problem pop up. I took the pics shown below, and the fault cleared itself on the way to the dealer...go figure. The dealer looked up the issue and found some TSB and did the fix. The repair took overnight, since the fix included a "hot" cam position sensor calibration, then a "cold" calibration, which of course required the car to be cool.

Had the same issue yesterday, less than 5k miles. I just started driving the car on my road after letting it warm up, and the dash lit up like a tree with a loss of power right after.

I could have reset the codes but I took it to the dealer. They kept it overnight and replaced the cmp sensor and did a software update based on the TSB for the P0011 code. Attached the info for anyone that needs it going into the dealer. Also got my steering gearbox recall while it was in.

When you guys are having these issues with the car throwing cel and all other codes does it present driveability issues, misfire, rough idle etc?

I have a 2023 type r 6 weeks old with 1,300km that started with a cel then threw a Christmas tree of lights and warnings, put itself in sport mode and drive mode couldn't be changed, and started intermittently idling and driving rough like it had a missfir or something.

I drove it gently for a couple days hoping it would clear up but it just got worse so it's currently at dealer for diagnostics. I don't know what codes they have pulled just that they didn't know what the issue was so it's been escalated to Honda Canada tech support. It's been a couple days and I'm a bit concerned by horror stories I have heard about dealers holding cars hostage for months while they try to diagnose issues.

Does this sound at all similar to the issues you guys have had?
