@Superhatch has your position changed on this now that you've had the wheels longer? Still gathering more facts but I'm beginning to develop a different theory on the 19 vs. 18 argument.:hmm:
I've grown to accept them as an ok winter wheel option. I know with a spacer they would probably look a little better, and with a darker wheel they might be ok also. I think the combo of bright wheel color, no spacer is really killing the look. But I don't want a flush wheel in the winter.

That said I do like the bright silver on the red and am deciding between the BBS RI-A, Apex VS-5RS, or the Mugen wheels for this summer all of which will be in a 19".

Just to set the record straight I do love 18’s also with the right rims/tire combo’s 👍🏻👊🏻

You just need to throw more tire at it :)

It's not the tire width, it's the diameter of the wheel and how the diameter of that wheel fills up the wheel well. Spacers or not, lowered or not, enough sidewall or not, I think the face of the 18" wheel isn't big enough for the car. On track, better option all day.

To be blunt I think 18's make it look like a Civic, 19's make it look like a Type R.

But it's like, just my option, man.

I'll find out myself soon enough as I have some 19's ready to go for this season. This is my first ever set of 19" aftermarket wheels, it's new territory for me as well since on the Si and the FK8 folks are primarily sticking to 18's. Starting with the FL5/DE5 we've started to see some people choose 19's now

I can respect that.
Although, y'all know me.

I beg to differ.

Haha, I'm glad we don't all agree. It means that there's more variety of FL5s out there. We all have things we're never going to budge on. For me it's chrome anything. I grew up in an era where chrome/metalic wheels/grills/trim was the enemy and it's stuck with me. If it wasn't heritage, I'd be whipping the chrome/red Honda badge off and getting a black/red one. Already got my eye on the black air con dials.

I'm on board with the "No Chrome" movement of the 90s and early Twenny Aughts... a.k.a. the "Naughties" in Austrailia, ammiright? I have always been in the school of thought that chrome belongs only on Euro and American cars, and that chrome on Japanese cars was just off.

A few years ago, I used to watch "DaMotoVlogga" on YouToob, after I got a Suzuki DR-Z400, and got a kick out of him calling the "Aughts" the "Naughties".
I was all, "Yes. This."

Some people around here still get away with calling it the "Early 2000s".
No. Just No.

Wavelength, brother.
I'm there.

ive been looking for those dials but cheaper.. $120-300 just seems like so much for 3 damn knobs.. I found the honda accord hvac model number (7961030AA710M1) but im not 100% sure they fit but are supposed to?.. $80 for the accord hvac rn or $120 for genuine? black honda knobs on ebay. just fyi.
