Consider using an inflatable lumbar support. I use this and it works great. Amazon offers many but the quality varies.

Thanks you for this thread! I unzipped the back of the driver's seat and inserted a Sparco lumbar pad. No need to unhook the middle of the seat. Feels much better for my lower back! Bride has a pad that's $40 US or half from eBay (fake? but it's just foam).

Yes, as I stated in my post above - It works great in my Recaro Pole Position seat. The Amazon one looks very similar and much less expensive. I'd try it.
