12th Gen civic due in 2027? I'm not surprised after the prototype reveal.

I don’t think we’ll see the 12th gen till 2028 as a MY29 product. We could see the Si come back again if they deem it with the cost.

i'm not sure why the EPA has a problem with it. It's the same engine used in the base model, basically (in terms of MPGs). It gets great fuel efficiency. what's the problem?
I think it's only a problem when paired to the 6MT, not so much the engine itself?

I wonder if the EPA thing is just a scapegoat for uncertainty about tariffs. Si is made in Canada. Trump decided he wanted 50% tariffs on their exports. I don't think anybody wants a $45k Si.

The memo is nonsensical because the trump admin has basically ended CAFE restrictions. So if Honda is really ending the si, someone is making up bullshit as the reason would not be the EPA.

I wouldn't put it past a shady dealer circulating a fake memo to gen up a few sales with extra extra markup.

This really sucks. Not to be doom and gloom, but this basically means the affordable (manual) enthusiast cars are dead. Civic Si is gone, GTI is auto-only, GLI is dead, Elantra N is supposedly dropping the manual. I guess we still have the WRX and 86/BRZ, but that's it.

I hope this doesn't mean the Type R and Type S are next on the chopping block.

right....but still, i wonder what the "unclear regulation" is. maybe the EPA forgot M/Ts exist and don't have a way of testing them anymore? lol

and why is the Type R ok? it's a manual too.
