I am having an issue with the indicator light not working on my new auto dimming mirror. There is no green or orange light that emits from it while trying to set Homelink to work with my garage door opener.

I saw that someone here said they were able to resolve the issue with these collegehillshonda instructions on step 47, but there is already a 20A fuse in that port.

Is home link supposed to just work? I don't get any lights on the mirror glass like seen on videos. Auto dimming mirror works.

EDIT: Fixed the problem. Installed the 15A fuse as indicated in step 49 page 26/27 of the collegehillshonda instructions
Thank you for commenting about this issue, I am having the same problem..

Could you tell us which instructions you are referring to? I found that the 2022 Accord PDF instructions mention a 20A fuse on step 47 on page 16, but my fuse box already has a 20A fuse there. The wiring hardness includes a 15A fuse but there is no mention of where to plug it in.

Go back and download the instructions PDF included in the OP of this thread. Scroll to page 26. That is the correct position of where to put the fuse. Not sure where you got the instructions you quoted, but it's very different from the OP.

I installed mine a few weeks ago and it's great. Relatively easy to install. I rarely drive at night so I haven't been able to test the auto-dimming but homelink makes a huge difference for me in terms of convenience.

Now I'm wondering if the blendmounts will work with it for my dashcam.

Blendmount is a very tight fit.

I had to use https://blendmount.com/aluminum-rad...den-r1-r3-r4-dfr8-dfr9-specialty-3017-series/

Notice the mount touching the plastic trim piece has a felt to prevent rattles.

the only difficult part was the damn clip in the A pillar. I managed not to break it, but it would have been a lot easier and quicker if I had been less worried about it breaking. So my suggestion would be to just have a new clip in hand before starting.
That clip alone is enough to scare me away from doing this job. I hate that thing. I took it off to add some foam to stop a rattle and I couldn’t figure out how it’s supposed to work and ended up just breaking it off and ordering a new clip. Thing was impossible to get off without destroying it.

Agreed it's a PIA.

Next time I take off that panel I'm going to get a new clip in advance. Not having to worry about breaking the one in the panel will save a lot of time and stress getting the thing off.

Did this today. Pretty straight forward. Also hardwire my radar, thanks to @charlesca for saving me the time on figuring out switched power at the mirror 😂😂. The a-pillar clip comes out by pulling hard on it straight out also with the harness kit comes a new clip. That is a safety clip that allows the a-pillar to move forward but not to release in the event of airbag deployment, so that the a-pillar does not smack you in the face. Great find!

Is there any way to change the pinout on the harness so that it is powered by ACC instead of constant power? I hate how Honda does this to all their cars. If someone can get into your car, they can get into your garage/house.

Does the factory service manual list the pinouts?

So, based on what others are saying the Homelink buttons are powered all the time. Is your radar detector powered all the time and you have to turn it on and off each time you get in/out of your car?
