Anyone have a recommendation for a good shop for Spoon rigid collars?

I'm not really equipped to handle this job myself, but I'm not sure where I should go, and I want to make sure the shop is a reputable / qualified one.

Thanks!

I'd look into Larkin Motorsports. Very charitable organization thats helps support the local veteran community. They'd love to work on your car. I took my Mustang to them to do some work back when I lived in Massachusetts

Gah, you caught me! Haha.

Will do. This mod is at the top of my list... just don't know of any reputable shops up here, unfortunately.

Bump! Got one good suggestion! Anyone else have a candidate? Anyone in the NE have rigid collars done on their FL5 / FK8?

A quick Google search pops up multiple shops in NE.

Yes, I'm capable of finding shops in the area. I'm just soliciting feedback from others who might have had this same work done at a local shop, in hopes of finding one that has prior experience with this work.

Gotcha. This install isn't hard. You're just unscrewing the subframe bolts and slipping on the collars and screw the bolts back on. Any mechanic should be able to do this no problem.

Yeah, if I had access to a lift, I'd be willing to give it a go myself.

My concern is that the instructions are in Japanese, so you have to be willing to do a little leg-work / research.
I'd think this is probably fine at 90% of shops... but I guess I'm a little hesitant to just take a shot in the dark and hope I don't find that 1 / 10 that half-asses it, haha.

If/when you do find one, please post about your experience. I’m in Vermont, and the closest shop I’ve found (Tri-State Motorsports; Spoon dealer) is in NJ.

Haven't yet... car is in storage for the winter, and I think I'm just going to cave and do it myself in the spring.

Will let you know if I do otherwise!
