It is but I was just providing the user with the info they asked for. Granted if spoon is preferred Blackhawk Japan is a cheaper alternative to buying from US sellers.
For sure. And the links are much appreciated. This seems like a no brainer mod if it makes the car drive better while reducing NVH. I was considering the PRL RMM as one of my first mods but this seems better.

**Update - ordered** lol

Think I am about to order these. I just hope it makes the type of noticeable difference you and some others are saying. I've been researching online and I'm coming across multiple varying opinions. Some say it did nothing to their cars (these were other car manufacturers, not type r) and others say they did make a difference. Just didn't wanna spend the money if I'm trying to talk myself into them actually making a difference (placebo).

I mean the type r already feels like a go cart on rails, does it REALLY improve the car enough to justify the cost :) lol I will be getting an alignment, wheels balanced (needs it) and the labor to install on top of cost of collars so I'm looking at around 600 total.

I recommend it to every Type R and Si owner I discuss mods with. They make them for other brands too, GTRs, Evos, Lexus F cars, etc

For those who installed these by themselves how hard was it?

I did it in my garage. Took my time and it was pretty straight forward. I just made sure I matched up the right collars to each bolt and greased the crap out of them.

What’s your opinion on them.

So I got these installed Last friday, along with an alignment and wheel rotation/balance to top it all off. These things are fantastic! We have some rough roads here in TN in places and these collars make the car feel that much more tightened down, and planted to the road. Its a weird feeling to describe but everything just feels a little less jarring if that makes sense. Steering still feels immediate because "type r" but everything just feels more buttoned up. I was skeptical before but I am now a believer. Between the RMM and these collars, I'm thinking these are 2 must have mods for this car. Thanks for the info on them.

Yes they’re recommended for every civic type r, regardless of use case. Yup better MVh, better ride, better handling. The PRLs are a good alternative to the Spoon, they do the same thing, so you don’t lose anything by going with either brand. Most go with Spion because of the brand and the fact that they came up with them ages ago for Honda chassis’. At least with PRLs you avoid the Spoon tax.

Funny enough I also installed a set Friday and your 100% percent right.

Ok fine I'll stop being lazy and install mine as well. How long did the install take for front and rear sets? I thankfully have a quick jack I presume that is important when needing to slightly lower the subframes.
