Rev Match with CAE/Acuity/Hybrid shifter

Question for those with aftermarket shifters on an FL5 Type R:

Does rev matching function properly with CAE / Acuity / Hybrid shifters?

I ordered a CAE shifter and don’t want to lose rev matching on the track.

Honda’s site says “The Rev Match Control System uses data from the clutch pedal’s stroke sensor, the transmission’s neutral position sensor and transmission rev sensor…”

This leads me to believe it should function with a shifter with modified gate and throws.

I have every Acuity upgrade that is related to shifting and even the accelerator pedal spacer and hybrid detent spring....rev-match works fine. I think the transmission sensors and speed sensors is what provides the computer to blip throttle because I don't remember a single sensor on the shifter itself.

You could disable rev-match completely. Even though rev-match is convenient it took away some of the fun for me and the reason why I wanted a manual car. Also there has been times rev-match didn't even activate after I downshifted.

Rev matching in normal driving is simple and enjoyable. On track it inevitably causes me to lose time if I don’t get it exactly right. Example is a 5 to 3 downshift on my normal track. Manual with rev match is still far more enjoyable than automatic.

I have the Acuity full shifter and yes auto rev match works as it should for me. Sometimes the car just forgets to revmatch on downshifts and thats always fun lol.

I have not experienced this on downshifts. Have you had this issue with OEM shifter, before the Acuity setup?

Yeah the shifter has no role in whats happening on my end - its happened before the install of the shifter. Its just random sometimes when it just 'forgets' to rev-match downshifts and honestly rarely ever happens.

Very odd as I had not heard of this being an issue before. My car never missed a beat on rev-match in the 1.5 years that I had it.

I have been data logging my wheel speed sensors and found my passenger front has had some weird readings .. I cleaned it the other day and am going to see if that helps out my main issue and maybe its related to this. It could also be bad I suppose.

They should not be using wheel speed for anything related to auto rev. I can’t see any reason you’d want wheel speed in the rev match math. Clutch sensor, transmission speed sensor, neutral position sensor are what they quote.

I’ve tried upgraded stock shifter, hybrid, and acuity, as others have said, rev match will still work.

Good so mine might be a separate issue lmfao. Its not a big deal, my car has a lot of character.
