Strongly considering those black floor mats instead of the red ones that it would come with. Im guessing you can also buy those separately?
First I’d seen them. Def a better idea. Maybe they didn’t want the media cars to have dirty carpets

Those carpets look like they don’t fit and weren’t made for the fl5. Hope they do make black ones though, it’ll help break up the sea of red

Great pics!

Clearly the FL5 has some good angles. Overall a smoother look. More classic.
Just not as edgy as the FK8. The FK8 looks like nothing else out there.

The FL5 is almost a sleeper by comparison to the FK8.
So yeah, it will probably benefit from some mods to wake it up.

I remember in the late winter/early spring of 2017 when the first FK8s we're arriving for journalist reviews and the anticipation was super high for the first units to go on sale. I'd get antsy thinking about if/how/when/where can I get one of these.

Fast forward to now and I have that feeling all over again for this FL5. I just hope I can wait for the refresh model as historically speaking I've always been a fan of Honda's mid gen tweaks (ie AP2, 8th gen Si, 9th gen Si, 10th gen CTR, etc.).

Interior looks amazing other than the honeycomb stuff and the screen, can't wait to be behind the wheel!

With the (hearsay) 3-year run in Canada, I wonder if this will get a refresh before they move on to another model generation

Are you sure it's not 5 yrs in Canada? I feel like that could change...

Where'd you hear 5? Everything I've heard points to 3 (per this forum, anyway). I'd hate to hold out for a refresh just to not get one. That said, the FK8 refresh was quite an improvement...

Mid gen tweaks I'd like to see
- option for black seats with red stitching, or at the very least black carpets with the existing red seats.
- More external colour options including dark blue metallic.
- Option for wing delete touring version.
- round out the power and torque to 250kw and 450nm...

I hope they get the 12.3 inch display from the upcoming next-gen Accord as well.
