Seatbelt Slow to Retract

ok this has been driving me crazy, looks like it's a common problem. I've only had the car like 9 months, and the thing just bunches up in the door jam every time i go to get out. I can tug on the thing like 3 or 4 times and it will eventually limp noodle up out of the way. But seems like maybe there were a batch of faulty retractors.

I had my retractor changed. Everything is good now. if it is bad, that part is warrantied under a different section and it is a prolonged warranty.

still waiting for mine to completely stop retracting so i can hopefully get it warrantied. wish it would hurry up and fail. it's so inconsistent that i think i'd have a problem getting them to warranty it. and i don't want to waste a $180 diag fee.

$180.00 diagnostic fee? For the seatbelt retractor?
Is this really just dealership costs these days?

My 2025 FL5 has this problem, and is semi inconsistent as well.
Usually it is sluggish slow, but sometimes only sloth slow. It feels like the retractor spring should be at least 3X to 4X stronger than it currently is. It is very weak as is.

Seems like it should be a safety recall.

Mine is tempermental . One day it retracts albeit very slowly, the next day not at all and i have to pull it out like 5x and feed it to get it to go back, next 2 days goes back slowly but most time I take it off and 4 feet of it goes bangin against the door frame and falling down. .
