The OEM downpipe has a 53mm or 2.09" outlet.

The TSP downpipe opens up the coffee straw restrictor with a 72mm or 2.83" outlet (35% increase).

In the near future, the TSP downpipe will be mated with a Fujitsubo front pipe and exhaust (70mm or 2.76") where they should marry up very well. On the intake side, the OEM turbo compressor outlet is 50mm where I added HKS intercooler piping of 54mm going through a J's Racing intercooler.
I’m wondering what the stock
exhaust ID is after the front pipe. If that flange ID on the front pipe is smaller than the piping after, it would seem to be a significant restriction after replacing the downpipe. I would be up for upgrading the front pipe, but I’m not really wanting a louder exhaust, nor do I want to spend the money.

With the out end of the OEM downpipe being 53mm, the in end of the OEM front pipe is the same. I would imagine the out end of the front pipe to be the same size providing for a full 2" exhaust carried through to the back where the pipe splits.

I am glad I found this. Great thread. I’ve been going back and forth with these same questions for weeks now. I am about to install my TSP downpipe with TSP blanket and that Dream cover is exactly what else I had in mind but didn’t know existed.

Curious did you ever do anything with the hard water pipe(s)?

I initially thought about that. After installing the PTP hybrid downpipe blanket and DA heat shield, I was very impressed with the results. So much so that additional shielding on the hard water pipes was not worth considering.

Here is a link to my CTR build thread.

Bump for me to check the ID of the out end on the OEM front pipe.

Better late than never...Inlet on the OEM front pipe is 60mm and the outlet is 56mm. Front pipe outlet also mates to a 57mm inlet used on the OEM exhaust.

Would the hard lagged shield from Dream fit over a PTP blanket for the TSP DP as well as a Funk blanket for the turbo?

I agree with the assessment above. I am using that same setup minus the turbo blanket and it is a very tight fit. I don’t think anymore could be stuffed under the Dream cover as seen in the pic
