Not sure if anyone is updating with all the info, but Auburn Honda (CA) told me $10k markup back when I called a couple of months ago.

Gotcha. Someone out there will pay it. Insane as it seems.
Oh yeah im sure of it. But from the sounds of it, no deposits on it yet.

So if someone out there is willing to pay 20k, go grab it up!

what lightly will happen is the potential buyer at $20k over will walk thru the door;
initial reaction will be along the lines of "hell no", but at the end, the contract will be signed close to $20k over after wheeling and dealing a bit. If FL5 does well at PCOTY, than all bets are off, since the competition this year is so bad ass.

I do not think markup will be bad since I'd rather go Corolla GR @MSRP and I'm guessing many would follow.

Good luck getting a GR Corolla at MSRP this first year. Unless it's the open differential version... Why is Toyota even offering that in the first place?

Local dealership in Ohio said $7500 markup. i like this car, but not sure i like it THAT much. sure is crazy seeing $20k at some dealerships as that's what the markup was on my GT4 i got recently. always painful but for a $115k MSRP car i could (barely) stomach it especially as the naturally aspirated manual transmission cars are going away, it seemed like a solid bet. $20k over on a $40k car seems insane. at this rate, i guess we'll be seeing cars with <1000miles going for $100k on BAT. *popcorn*

Local dealership near me said they are looking at around $10,000 over MSRP. Added it to the spreadsheet.

Average New car loans are 5.7% currently and will be nearly 7% by end of the year. Also if you have even a few dings on your credit you'll be paying nearly 10%.
