I work at a Honda dealership near Pittsburgh, we have a 24 Boost blue due in soon, ETA was 12-15 so expect it soon. Last one we asked $2k over MSRP assuming this one will be the same. Also no add ons, MSRP +2. Been doing this 3 years never sold a CTR yet or an SI for that matter and not gonna lie would love to sell one. Car guy who takes a lot of flack working here, I have a 2020 Supra and 1992 MR2 lol.
Looks like middle of January ETA

Hi,

Looking for opinions on this one. Got a dealer with markup without accessories is about 3.3k. Add in paint protect and Tire warranty and its 5k. Its exactly the color I want so I don't know if I am just gonna have a harder time here getting it to 3k, no extras as I wanted. Opinions? Not gonna get much better. Or continue to wait out the next 2-3 months..

If 3k is the markup that you don't mind paying, then hold firm on 3k. If they're serious about selling the car then they will come down to 3k.

Its Ralleye Red. Just got another dealer said they do 4k. Trying to push them down. If it was CW I would hold to close to MSRP.

I don't think you'll get many people around here encouraging anyone to go forward with a markup of $3k-$5k at this point... but there also aren't many people around here with a FL5 in Rallye Red, and much worse markups have been paid.

It's your money, so do what you're comfortable with. If $3k-$5k isn't a big deal, and it gets you your ideal color + one that's relatively uncommon (at least at this point), I'd go for it. I'd decline all paint/tire protection warranty stuff offered by the dealership (they can be purchased after the sale from various providers for a fraction of the cost), and see if the dealership might be willing to include any number of accessories so that $3k isn't straight markup (trunk tray, window visors, mats, shift knob, anything that anyone can install at home).

If you choose to wait, interest rates might improve (disregard if you're buying it outright), but trade-in values are declining, so that's something to keep in mind (disregard if you're not trading anything on it).

Is the ADM craze finally over? I have one dealer begging me to buy their car at 3k ADM and no one is buying it. I just received an email for another CTR at MSRP. This dealership was 10k ADM "firm" just a few months ago. Another dealer trying to negotiate a 5k ADM with me and no one is buying theirs as well.

Are they 2023 models or 2024? A lot of the 2023s left were more willing to work with me. I know some dealerships will do MSRP but usually only to within state people. Waiting on my Black Type R. Pray I get it this year

They have all been 24 models. Zimbrick Honda in WI is the one at MSRP if anyone wants to grab it. CW.

I don't think the ADM craze is completely over. It largely depends on where you live and how much stock is available nearby. Sports cars are always cheaper in the middle of winter.

I would imagine that with the sky high interest rates they're not finding a lot of buyers that can qualify for financing. Banks have tightened up on car loans in general. With lower interest rates soon and spring/summer I would expect the ADM to pick up again.

I looked earlier this year and could not stomach the markups. So now I’m paying MSRP for 2024 SGP. Another buyer had to cancel.

I know of a 2023 CW for $3.5 over, and a 2024 Black and a 2024 CW at MSRP. But I’ve also had dealers recently quoting me $5 over.

I agree that it seems to depend
on where you’re located.

Love forum members helping others!

I too see a trend of ADMs waning. Started with 15-25K ADMs in the northeast. Now hearing some may be able to do 3K to MSRP. Now the milestone is for dealers allowing test drives! Really want to experience it before I decide to jump in!
