a lot of people don't seem to like PRL.

I am going to probably try to track down a hasport 62A instead of the PRL, the 70 sound like its way too much but the PRL sounds like its too little. If I am gonna do this mod I want to actually feel something and not just get rattling for little improvement. I guess I can always remove it
I got mine used for $50 locally. I figured it was worth a try. I'm not sure I'm leaving it in anymore.

Yes 27won 70. Too much I think time I'm under the car I'm throwing the stock mount back in.

I have done some searching but can't find much info on the CSF radiator. It's currently on sale for $629 which is quite a bit cheaper than either PWR offering. From what I gather, no radiator completely solves overheating issues on track, so is ther a reason to go with PWR or CSF?

My car is a daily driver that sees 4-6 track days a year.

I don’t think there’s a reason to get the PWR over the CSF. I am in similar situation as you in terms of usage of the car. I went with the PWR street version radiator last year. They had a BF sale and I would think there’s a good chance of it happening again.
In terms of combating overall, people are doing many things and not just solving it with a single mod.

There's been some documented success with the PWR Track, but I too haven't seen much else, and have been bouncing back and forth myself.

Ultimately, I think I'm going to end up in the PWR camp, as its generally the higher quality brand, the thought of future proofing is nice, and with an Oil Cooler en route, having an entire cooling system that was tested together is appealing...or maybe I'm just bougie :D

With that said, I can't imagine the CSF not netting some positive effect. I know Phoenix is like the sun, but do you regularly track in those extreme temps? I'd take your region and typical ambient temp into consideration.

I have the PWR track radiator, Acuity reverse flow radiator hoses, and the HEL oil cooler, and so far the highest I've seen on track for the ECT is 216°F ~15min into a session in 85°F ambient without running interior heat (running interior heat brought it back down). I am tuned making an estimated 330whp and at the time was stock everything engine power-wise (still factory FMIC also). I haven't had it out in warmer weather yet though.

Sorry to clarify, the max 216F was when stock tune or 330whp?

Either way -- that's pretty excellent in 85F without the heat on. We rarely see above 85 here, and I hate running with the heat on :)

That's incredible. Did you notice you were able to sustain power for longer too at those temps?

You were running 2:17/18 at NCM, right?

I have the PWR street version radiator, acuity reverse flow radiator hoses and the HEL oil cooler. Except my 4 track days were only 50-72F ambient temperatures so overheating wasn’t an issue.

You were running 2:17/18 at NCM, right?
2.18.8 was my fastest at NCM, although NCM was cooler (maybe 70-80°F) and the ECTs were lower. At NCM on day 1 in practice I was able to do 3 back-to-back-to-back laps between 2:20.4 and 2:20.6, before I realized I really needed to be in comfort mode, but that's a good indication the car could run consistently at least at those temps as my top speeds were within a few mph on all of those laps.

I also ran NSS the week after NCM in about 70°F and did two 1:06.4s in a row, which was my PB there - shorter lap but it's a roval so there's a long power section, and similar results to NCM regarding consistency.

All of my laps have been run with the rain guard on also, as I'm not sure removing that would be class legal for SCCA (awaiting clarification).

It's really hard to say until I get some summer running though - I only got the car over the summer so by the time I started running it temps were already cooling off.

The PWR Track Rad says not to use on a daily, as the temps are actually higher in daily driving.

I had good luck with CSF on my DSG Golf R and those are known to run hot. Could put the power down all session and that was with a big intercooler blocking the radiator.

CSF is also the supplier to HPD, so don't think you can go wrong with it as well.

Super helpful insight, dude! Thank you! Sounds like it's going to be the right move for me.

If the TTB tries to bump you to Tuner for removing the rain guard you should start a riot šŸ˜

So I chatted with them at SEMA about this caveat, and it seemed like they haven't experienced it, but received feedback from some it does, but also received conflicting feedback that it doesn't. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø.

A local FK8 runs the Track Spec on the street up here, and has no issue. Perhaps it can be more of an issue in some super high ambient + super high humidity locales?
