The issue started after I installed the + tuneIf it's just a new issue, it could simply be a bad batch of gas.
I was thinking about getting the 27Won air snorkle. How are you liking it? Worth the investment?Vehicle: 2022 Civic SI
Total tuned time: 5 Months
Tuned miles driven: 3000
Tuning device(s) used: Ktuner V2
Tunes used: TSP Stage 1 and Stage 1+
Fuel used: 93 Octane
Additional related mods: PRL HVI, Intercooler, Charge pipe, PRL downpipe, DC Sports Front pipe and catback, 27won air snorkel.
To be perfectly honest I don’t think it’s that much of an improvement. If anything it causes temps to rise faster because it blocks about half of the radiator from airflow. I does look cool thoughI was thinking about getting the 27Won air snorkle. How are you liking it? Worth the investment?
I see. I thought it was the 93 Octane option that will also work on 91 Octane gas but with higher knock control and reduced timing. It can't hurt and will certainly give you more consistently lower knock control numbers.
If you're seeing .49 knock control with your 91 octane gas on your 91 octane tune, you're golden. If you're seeing some elevated k.c. numbers --- 93 (or a gallon of E85 per tankful) will stabilize knock control and give you more consistent power. Remember, not all 91 is created equal.I see. I thought the 91 Octane option will not see any improvements if higher octane was used.
Would that mean the 91 octane tune will also give better performance numbers when higher octane fuel is used?
Or to put it differently, what's the advantage of using the 91 Octane tune with 91 octane fuel?
Wouldn't it be just as if using the 93 octane one, since it also will result in same knock control issues?

Some thoughts:
The 93 octane tune likely has different fueling and timing for more power.
You can use quality 91 gas with the 93 octane tune by adding 1-1.5 gallons of E85 per tankful to up the octane.
93 octane gas for the 91 octane tune will not produce the same power as the 93 octane tune, just more stable knock control.
No problem I have a couple of more mods going in soon so will update you guys on the results.First CTR in the thread.
Thanks for including the dyno.
