Part of me wished I had on the FK8 as those 20s were getting bent like it was going out of style, decided to swap to nsx Ys and put fatter tires on. Wasn't sure if it was a similar case on this genHard pass on the wheel and tire package. There's nothing about it or any other package offered in the Finance Office I find appealing.
NOTE: In polling the community, be advised some were made to buy it as a condition of the deal.
No! Look around and shop elsewhere. I'd recommend Justin Edward Adams. To those who have owned the vehicle for some time, would you recommend going with the tire package from the dealer? Any experiences or feedback on wheel finish? Fair price to haggle to?
Thanks!
Was 1200 your negotiated price or that's what they offered you? So it would cover any punctures and any accidental damage to wheel finish for x amount of years?I'd say get it. It's only like $1,200 and in 2 months of ownership I've already gotten $550 worth of my money back. One new tire $400 and paintless dent removal $150.
Negotiated. At first I was declining and they brought it down to that. And correct also covers dents without paint. I got one called 3-in-1 provided by Assurant. Full disclaimer though some service advisors are lazy and don't like dealing with wheel/tire packages because they gotta start the claim themselves. But if you have a good service advisor it is really worth it.Was 1200 your negotiated price or that's what they offered you? Good advice. If you are made to purchase a package like this as a condition of a deal, how soon after deal execution can you cancel? With stuff like this you can usually buy it then get a refund if you decide later that you don’t want/need it. The refund is prorated. It’s easier to make decisions when you’ve had a chance to digest all the info and weigh the pros/cons at home versus when you’re feeling pressured at the dealership to buy it (on top of the excitement of getting an awesome new car you’ve likely waited months for). Also, I recommend paying for it separately (on a credit card or whatever) so you can manage it separately from the car purchase. It’ll make things simpler in the case you decide to refund it.
Thanks for the input, is this only for the OEM wheels? What about accessory wheels/aftermarkets?Negotiated. At first I was declining and they brought it down to that. As far as I'm concerned, only OEM wheels. And like the person above said, you can cancel anytime and get a prorated refundThanks for the input, is this only for the OEM wheels? What about accessory wheels/aftermarkets?
