Suddenly don't feel so old at 40 after some of these replies!
Dood. If I could magically be 40 again ....

All I can say is, keep hitting the gym 5 days a week for as long as you can.

THIS 10000% I wish I put the time into keeping in shape starting at 40 that I (have to) do now at 59 just to correct the damage a nearly 40 year desk job did with little effort to correct it on the back side.

Out of curiousity how old is the CTR owner. I'm in my mid 40's and sometimes feel a bit too old for the car.
I just picked my 2026 Type R up yesterday and I just turned 65. Last car was a GR Corolla Circuit Edition. I only got rid of it b/c my wife complained that it was like driving in a race car! Now she wants a divorce so I finally got the CTR. I will miss the AWD.

63. Just traded my 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance for a 2026 CW FL5.
The Model 3 was fast, but there was almost no feedback, like driving a $50K golf cart.

I wanted a car that would make me love driving again, and the Type R absolutely does. Two days after picking it up, I installed the Acuity 4-way shifter and love it. I love the physical effort of shifting gears and feeling what the car and the road are doing. Every drive feels like an occasion again.

Another happy retiree here at 69. Owned a few Integra GSR's in the early 90's then switched to BMW's. Daily drivers were Golf R's and GTI's the past ten years. I traded my 2024 GTI 380 SE in on my new 2026 FL5. (Haptic controls on the VW killed the fun drive).

I've been watching the FL5 market for the past year and too many Savagegeese reviews on YUTUBE and had to get one. A very special car and a keeper.....

Interesting. Here's the count. I'm 48 btw, but I didn't include myself since I own Type S instead of Type R.
