How far does it open up? I like the factory option of opening straight up so I don't have to worry about hitting my head on the hood working in the engine bay. Is it just past the first hood prop or could it open higher

It's between the two prop points. If you wanted to lift the hood all the way to get it to "maintenance mode" then you'd just pop the shocks loose and use the prop rod.

Just ordered mine...have had my hood blow off the stock prop rod at the track so this is a super functional upgrade!

Any way to properly adjust this rubber piece on the passenger side so the strut doesn't catch on close? Not a big deal, just makes a bit of noise on close.

Love the struts, always disliked bars.

As a former aerospace engineer with some structures design experience; I am wondering if anyone has experienced cracking or bending at the strut mounting points.

Or, ideally, can WOT explain their structural analysis how they have reinforced the structure around the mounting area. I’m just concerned about the forces exerted on structure not specifically designed for this application. Thanks
