I'm in OC, but I think it'd be helpful to have the plate number, even if its the temp plates to keep an eye out, hopefully they haven't been removed yet. Also, a general vicinity of where the theft actually occurred, OC is kinda big.
Just added the plate to the thread. Thanks.

Appreciate that, I'll keep an eye out when I'm out and about. Shitty situation, sorry this happened, hopefully they're able to recover it or at least your insurance makes you whole again.

Sorry to hear that bud. Did you by chance have HondaLink active? Or maybe you still can enable it and check last location.
Never downloaded the app. I called Honda Link customer service and she told me I'm SOL.

I'm willing to bet money that the plates won't help. I don't have the number at the moment anyhow.

It happened a couple miles north of Tustin marketplace on jamboree. Cop said that dispatch saw it on traffic camera going south and likely getting on the 5.
Just about every stop light captures plates. Unless the LEO is a car enthusiast, they won’t pump a lot of resources for theft when we have insurance.

Did you activate Honda link? If not you still can manually enter the data. Also, call the dealership, they usually have trackers for repo purposes as well - being the FL5 is a “high profile“ vehicle.

I hope it’s found before things get too grimm… 😢

It came with 3 free months of Honda Link but I never downloaded the app and registered it. I called the dealership and they said they don't install trackers in their cars. But, then again they didn't seem to know about Honda Link either. Once the dealership sells it the car is the banks responsibility. So, the dealership doesn't do the repo.

If there's mfer's end up parting the car out what sites do you think they might use to sell them?

Damn! I'm in the area. I thought it's generally a pretty safe neighborhood! I got my car almost 1 year and have not seen another Boost Blue FL5 in the Tustin/Irvine area! Only other Boost Blue I've seen is a Sport. Will certainly keep an eye out for it, but I would highly doubt they are dumb enough to hang around where it was stolen from.

Sorry about your loss.

For everyone else: I highly recommend a Faraday pouch and OBD2 port blocker for any new car. Theft rings seem to be well equipped with Autel tablets.

A theft ring in Phoenix was well armed with AK pistols too, so not worth confronting. That ring was after trucks (probably bound for Mexico). They were pinging key fobs and using Autel type tablets per home surveillance videos.

I'm thinking about deploying "The Club" again after it has been shelved for over 20 years!

did you not understand what I wrote? Activate your HondaLink. You do not need the car to activate it. If you’ve ever paired your phone, ask Siri to find my car. It’s 2026 my G, technology is rampant - so many ways to be your own detective.

Yep. I run one in my CTR.
Even when it's parked in my garage....
"This is too analogue / hard" is a valid strategy these days. IMHO

You should and I bet these young modern thieves going around with tablets wouldn't know how to break through one or not even bother trying to get it off.
