Was about to start signing when they pulled this out on me. It "made contact with the vehicle in front of it"." Not sure if I should just take the L and walk away. It's for MSRP.. I'm buying out of state too so I can't even look at it

Why would you even need to ask someone else if you should or not?? I would've dropped the pen and walked the fuck out. No confirmation from anyone else needed.😂

IF it just "made contact" and they just replaced a bumper cover or cracked grill Id want a bunch of $$ off MSRP. Replacing the intercooler and all that other stuff means they are lying a LOT, sounds like someone wrecked it. so in that case F NO

If it was just a light bumper tap and all they had to do was replace the bumper cover, then yeah it’s very likely a-ok. Shit like that happens. But the fact that basically the whole front of the car was replaced is a big HELL NO. I hope they didn’t waste a lot of your time otherwise. They’re gonna have to come off their MSRP to sell that car I think, too.

Not if they don't disclose the damage. I'm thinking they won't say anything.

I feel like it must’ve bumped into something. If it was a real collision the condenser and radiator would be dead too, along with core support.

The bumpers come pre painted too

Yeah I guess it depends on how they went about paying for the repairs. If they went thru their insurance, then the damage would show up on a vehicle report at some point, right? I feel like this may be why they eventually chose to share this info with op. It would probably be considered fraud otherwise, to sell the car under the pretense that it’s factory new, right?

Look at the list. They had to replace the radiator in addition to the whole front bumper/grill assembly. This was more than just a little cosmetic bumper tap it seems.

You’re right! My bad. Still…for the IC to be damaged tells me it took a significant hit. Kinda crazy. I wonder how it happened?

My guess: drove into a tow ball on a truck. Probably went right through some stuff in a straight line.
