Yes.Do we know for certain that every Type R engine is made in Ohio? - I heard him say so in the video, so I guess it is.
FK2 engines were made in Ohio too. Had oneYes.
That's not new, though. The FK8 engines were made in Ohio, too.
K20C1 has been in the fk2, fk8 and now fl5Yes.

Honda JP reveal the FL5 production line
K20c1 still build in Anna Engine Plant in Sidney, Ohio
The transmission is built in Suzuka Factory(鈴鹿製作所), then The engine and transmission are transported to the Ogawa engine Plant(小川エンジン工場)by sea and land respectively.
Engine and transmission are combined and transported to Yorii Plant
In the video of 8:58, a JP media explain it in detail, translated by DeepL
"a special process is required for parts that are unique to the Type R. For example, the front suspension assembly that is unique to the Type R, and if you try to put it on a normal production line, it will interfere with other processes, so it is more efficient to extract this part and make it in a dedicated process. Looking at it, the front suspension assembly including the drive shaft is completed in 7 minutes of task time, as well as the Brembo calliper and large rotor. There are 4 specialists in 2 shifts, about 10 in total, and they have special assembly skills. It's a skill that feels good to look at."
Agreed. Honda transmission is probably the weakest link historically speaking.…
Probably the first point of failure then lol.
(flame suit on)
If my memory serves me correctly, was it also in the DC5R? Edit: I think I’m wrong, that’s the K20A.K20C1 has been in the fk2, fk8 and now fl5
