I understood the opposite

cued it to the part where he says if you want more or less sensitivity

I agree with you that the only way to know is to compare code, same with the differences btw the suspension modes, it would be awesome to see how different they really are, now its all butt dyno.

My other thing is that I actually like steering in comfort, I subscribe to the you get more feedback in comfort than sport or +R, they just add fake heavyness. I need to do more testing on this, it was definitely VERY noticable on my last car (M2), less on this car, would like to know what yall think, maybe I am crazy lol
My impressions of ITS steering were that Comfort was artificially light, Sport was natural, and Sport + was artificially heavy. Maybe that tracks with what we're hearing re: the ITS having softer tuning in Comfort than the CTR.

The rate of the steering can't be programmed, the level of the assist can be. These car don't have actual variable rate rack, they might have different rack gearing between where the center is vs further into travel, but their actual physical rate don't change.

I just finished the swap to the ITS damper controller yesterday. The swap is relatively simple, the reinstall of that one 10mm bolt on the seat bottom is a bit of a pain. Impression commuting this morning is its nothing drastic. I am fully in winter mode now on squishy tires and narrower wheels so maybe that takes some extra edge off but I'd say the comfort mode is noticeably more isolated, but doesn't feel as underdamped as the FK8's was. Sport felt like normal Comfort of FL5.

I also notice I think the steering feels lighter in Comfort(which is where I have my individual set to), would have to play with that more.

Does anyone know if the DE5 ADS module also affects the steering modes?

I swear it feels a tick slower like it did in my DE5
It definitely does. I installed mine today and switched it to r. Had it in sport previously and after the install it felt like comfort

I followed a YouTube video.
My only clarification is the rear seat cushion clips have to be pulled forward, while pulling up lightly on the forward edge of the cushion.
I left mine in

I purchased the ADS module from @TW00Si and I've been running it for about a week and half now and I generally have to agree with most points here but I'll share my opinion for those on the fence about purchasing:

First off my reason for purchasing it was not because I disliked the ride quality at all, I was actually very happy with it stock. I reserve +R mode mainly for autocross as it was a little too stiff for the road especially if you hit imperfections mid turn. I used Sport mode for spirited road driving which I felt was fantastic, its responsive planted and soaked up small road imperfections. Comfort mode was good, not too loose or too stiff. I don't generally live around rough roads (I'm in suburbs of Jersey) but if I were to go to more metro areas the ride quality certainly doesn't cope well but I don't find that to be a surprise. Seems to me this is exactly the way Honda intended the modes to be used.

I purchased the ADS module because theyre hard to get, @TW00Si was local, and I wanted to have it on hand should I install springs and then turn out to be too stiff with stock ADS. I've been running the Type S ADS for about a week and half now on stock suspension and I don't like it as much as the CTR module. Comfort mode definitely glides over the small imperfections and softens the larger bumps to a degree, which is nice for commuting. But For me it's just too soft and floaty. It feels like there is a lot more body roll just simply going around regular turns at stop lights etc. Forget driving quickly around turns. Sport mode is now no longer a true sport mode but instead a slightly less floaty setting which is just not desirable when you want to have some fun on the mountain roads. And +R can be used on the road now but why do I need +R for the road? That's what sport mode is supposed to be for. Now I don't have a setting for the track/autocross. I prefer the CTR ADS since each mode serves its purpose to a much greater degree for me but I think it really depends on your local roads and how you use the car.

Overall I think the Type S module might solve a problem for some people but for others it may reduce the CTR's edge where its needed.
Only driven on the new ads for 1 mile. I feel like I’m going to feel the same way.

For those of you that have swapped the module, did you end up disconnecting the negative at the battery to perform the swap? Messing with the airbag has me a little concerned.

I personally did not disconnect the battery, but if you’re worried about it, it only takes 10 seconds to disconnect a battery.

I replaced my ADS with the battery connected.
Connector pins are recessed and I doubt the module is powered with ignition off. Only problem might be static discharge, but wrenching the bolts reduces that issue.

Think it's been said, but bears repeating, you don't need to remove the rear seat to do this. Move up the corner of the seat, take out the 10mm bolt, put the seat down and take the little cover off the side trim, take the 10mm bolt off and the trim piece will come off with some love.

2 more 10mm off the module and you're good to go

Seen so many videos where people remove the rear seat bottoms, wish there is a video to do this based on what you are saying. I need visual aids lol
