For those who haven't owned a Type R before, have any of you considered maybe getting the FK8? I've been thinking. My only hesitation is the price is almost the same if not more than a new FL5. Curious to hear some opinions. It would help me think this through.

I have thought about it on a few occasions, but the current price and overall looks is what deterred me from going for it. It’s just too aggressive looking. If anything, the Type S is the happy medium between the two. Less aggressive but lines are not as soft as the Type R. And the tech in there isn’t from 2012.

There is a Type S in my Acura showroom. With add on’s they are asking $67,500.00.

WoW! That’s like at least 75k out the door with no extended warranty.

I've been considering the 2024/25 EN more and more. Been wondering how I can make it look better with 15k to 20k id be saving. Heck it's more like 15 to 40k with the mark ups/addons. But I would only pull the plug on the EN if I can't get the 2024 CTR at MSRP.

Honestly, ITS is not on my list anymore. I think even at MSRP, it's just too expensive. Just my opinion though.

So now my plan is 24 CTR or 25 EN+some mods to make it look better. Hopefully won't come to it, but I'm firmly set on MSRP w/o forced add-ons.

Maybe we should take a note from Throttle House guys and just order a Lotus, almost same price ;p Lotus Emira would easily keep it's price in 10 years if not double it.

Thought about it and especially after driving one, really wanted it. It was just exciting to drive in every way lol. Didn’t end up pulling the trigger as the fk8s in my area are just way too expensive for the year, the mileage, and what I was getting. I’d also have to find out who the previous owner was to see how much they ripped on it lmao. 60k for a used fk8 with average mileage just felt expensive.

Yeah FK8 same price as FL5 and ITS 70k plus. Man, couple of years ago I couldn't imagine myself buying an integra for this price.

Msrp for ITS is 65k less than m2, and how many people are dumping more expensive cars for it…

Same, considered an FK8 but paying the current used "market value" for one just seems financially irresponsible.

I don't think there will be any shortage of used FK8s or new/used ITS' in the near future, obviously thats all speculation. However if you're comfortable waiting and dont really need to rush into financing (cause they'll likely force it), I'd say wait it out.

The FK8 was also never aesthetically appealing to me (warming to the ITS maybe additional color options will change my mind, but its still a far third or fourth option for me after a GBRZ86, or ND Miata for just fun factor and price) which is subjective, and I just couldnt get myself to pull the trigger on something that expensive that I would never park and look proudly back at.

If the FL5 DOESN'T work out for me I've just started considering ways to make a third car fit into my lifestyle. I'm also far from wealthy, have a 4 person household and all of my decisions are made based on an above average to higher income for Ontario, which, if you currenly pay a mortgage in Ontario, know iS a JOKE LOL.

A note on the 2024 EN its definitely miles better looking than the original, but damn, they need to offer it in a hatch or shooting brake style for versatility, then I feel like it would directly compete with the R.

The Elantra N really is a phenomenal value at ~$20k cheaper than the Integra Type S at msrp. If I don’t care about long term resale value (or possible reliability issues) and just want one to daily the heck out of, I might consider the 2024 EN if my FL5 allocation never comes to fruition.

Whatever car I get, I doubt I'll ever be selling it. These are one of the last ice manual cars. Unless we get something other than electric cars the next 7 yrs, like hydrogen...

When I inquired about them, it seemed like it would only take a few months wait maximum depending on the requested colour. No idea about the face lifted 2024s, since most people agree that they’re more attractive looking. Also doesn’t seem like there’s markup and forced-packages shenanigans from Hyundai dealers.

Aint this the truth. COL is becoming ridiculous in this province especially GTA/GVA. If we werent at the 11th hour for manual ICE cars I dont think I'd be so inclined to splurge right now but chances like these wont exist soon.

Agree with both of you. It’s ridiculously high even if you’re a ā€œhigh incomeā€ earner. I’m not really sure what that is anymore. Thought about going to another province, but at least in the field I’m in, the action seems to be in either GTA or GVA.
