And I thought that the R's were delivered to the dealerships right away. Never thought my car would be waiting for a full load before moving on. Thanks for the info.

What paperwork are you referring to? As far as I know I have done all the paperwork for the deal, just awaiting delivery. Is there additional paperwork to be done? I have copies of the MSO, bill of sale, odometer statement, financing contract, etc.I would get insurance on it then just put an old plate on it if the dealer would let you. Or just make a trip and get the paperwork complete. Then to the ME DMV and back to the dealer with the real plate. 2 hours isn't too bad to make 2 trips.
I may be buying one from a few states away. I'm a believer in varying the RPMs during break-in so I wouldn't want to drive 5 hours on the highway home. Plus I'm not using it in the winter so unless it warms up soon and the roads get cleaned up I'm going to try and rent an enclosed trailer to pick it up.
What how did they provide you odometer statement when car hasn't even arrived. TfWhat paperwork are you referring to? Yeah apparently not. They are gonna be waiting for all those base model cars coming to dealership lolAnd I thought that the R's were delivered to the dealerships right away. Never thought my car would be waiting for a full load before moving on. Thanks for the info.
The guy said that we need to put like 4-5 miles on so he gave a statement with 5 miles on it.What how did they provide you odometer statement when car hasn't even arrived. Tf
Why can't your dealer do the paperwork with the Maine DMV? When I bought my car out of state, the dealer got all the paperwork and plate done before I came to pick it up. Ask your dealer.Hey guys so since we're talking about deliveries I had a related query: the dealership I'm getting my Type R is 2hrs away from here and they've agreed to deliver it to my place (charged me $250 for it). Before anyone asks why not drive it home the dealer is in Massachusetts, and Massachusetts for some weird reason has a law which doesn't allow temporary plates, so there's no way I can drive through Massachusetts without registering it in Maine. I thought they'll use a pickup to trailer it to my place but looks like the salesman was hinting at driving the car to my place with another car with him which would take him back. I don't think anyone would want someone else to put miles on their brand new car before them, especially a special one like the Type R. I never had a new car before so I don't know how registering it works; do I need to have the car in person to have the plates? The car is financed, so are there any additional documents I would need? I was thinking if I could register it without having the car yet, I could get the plates and then go to the dealership, put the plates on, and drive back myself. Please let me know if that's possible or if there's any better option. Don't want the salesperson to drive the car before me lol and live in the fear of having it thrashed to the redline on the way here.
He's going to do the paperwork as he said that he would be bringing the car directly to the town hall. My only gripe is that I want to drive it home if they can't bring it on a trailer. Why can't your dealer do the paperwork with the Maine DMV? I would highly suggest not using an old plate to drive it back. Pretty sure that's a felony if caught
Holy crap you have a sick garage! Congrats!Mine was delivered as expected and the car looks perfect!
I was pleasantly surprised, the car looks even better in person and man does Champ White look good.

Sounds like you got all the paperwork, I would go try and register it at the DMV. Only issue is they may need the original MSO.What paperwork are you referring to?
