So you're saying by changing out the grounding wires in the car would make my MECHANICAL transmission shift smoother?Ah. Additional grounding removes tension from the shift cables and allows for smoother shifts.

Yeah the electrical engineers probably sized it based maximum current draw and not performance.i've seen this done on other cars with positive results. not sure why OEM wouldn't just make a thicker ground.
Thicker wires cost more. You only need a certain gauge of wire that is safe/effective for the given job. Anything beyond that is extra and unnecessary (from the factory). Aftermarket stuff can benefit from thicker/better wires as @pigfacedalarm pointed out.i've seen this done on other cars with positive results. not sure why OEM wouldn't just make a thicker ground.
excited to hear the results. what kind of benefits would you expect? Better throttle response? Anything else? For those FL owners who thinks this is a bullshit claim, I dare you swap out the OEM ground wire and get thick cable wire (anywhere!) and go for a test drive. Report your experience here.
I’m just trying to share what I discovered
I never weighed just the gear box ... I'll just take your word on it.gear box feels lighter and shifting is smoother
