Excited to announce that yesterday I pulled the trigger on a Championship White 2026 CTR for MSRP. Funny to see all these dealers asking $5k over. I live in Phoenix and no one wanted to sell one at MSRP, called a dealer in Tucson and told them I want to purchase one at sticker, they told me if I bought it that day they would remove the market adjustment and dealer options. DONE. Looking to drive down to Tucson this morning and pick it up. I have never even drove one but after watching hours of reviews and knowing that I just love the Honda brand, I knew it would be okay.
The car will be joining my 99 EBP SI and my 09 M3. I possibly want to sell the M3 after owning it for (4) years but we will see how much I fall in love with the Type R. I buy cars for engagement and for the nostalgic feeling and that is exactly what my M3 and SI do. I know to a degree, the Type R will do that as well over time because it's a work of art from Honda. I knew 2026 would probably be last year production and possibly last full gas powered engine so I wanted to purchase one with the hopes it will a lasting legacy for the brand that I get to enjoy for many years to come.
Plan to PPF to the car as quickly as possible. Being as I used to own a detail shop here in Phoenix, I will be doing a full correction and coating. Mods: Would eventually like coils, wheels, intake and maybe tune but really never go crazy with my cars.
