Just curious to see if anyone has had any experience with this harness. Was thinking of purchasing one. While on track the seatbelt does not keep me very secure. Any info is appreciate.

Yes, I have used these in the EVO X. I just ordered a set of red ones for the FL5. I agree that even spirited canyon driving I can feel the limitations of the stock belts in the FL5. You will be very happy with the Schroth 4 point, it will hold you in very tightly. This year I also bought a HANS device for myself as well to compliment the 4 point. Great setup if you don't have a roll bar / cage.

How do you secure the shoulder belts? Where does it mount to?

Thanks for the info. Question. Was the harness easy to remove when not in use? Like if you are just driving around town. I would be using it in my daily driver.

It's super easy, at least in my Evo, to just tuck that back tail section away underneath the back seat cushion where it hides. Then the front section I just throw it behind the front seat underneath the seat itself. It doesn't bother me now make noise like that. Then just use the OEM 3 point belt. It's really sweet.

Are you mounting the shoulder strap ends to the rear seat belt anchors?

I have an FK8 and I also looked for a 4 point harness to help secure me in place on track. So I purchased a Schroth profi II ASM 4 point harness and a harness bar for my car. I also own (and race) a race car so I do know how it feels to be securely strapped to a racing bucket seat with a 6 point harness and a HANS device.

Well, I had only one trackday since and I was disappointed. A 4 point harness didn't help much on stock seats because the seat foam will just compress and allow you to move around, no matter how tight you strap yourself in. And I had a couple of problems I never had on the race car. I couldn't reach to the head unit to configure my LogR. The one time I went off track I had a hard time looking around (because of the hans device) before safely returning to the track. On a race car, you just get back to the track without a second thought. All things considered, I'm not sure I'll continue using it in the future. Maybe I was just expecting too much from it.

I would suggest to try sliding the seat forward after you pull the waist belts snug, then snug the shoulder belts.
That should compress things a bit further for you.

Can you guys share where you anchor the shoulder straps please? I would like to run it but based on what I’m told, without a harness bar, anchoring to the rear seat belt would yield a larger than 60 degrees angle. Which is not recommended and never mind running the neck HANS device.
Pictures please. I would like to continue using my HANS device.

The Schroth 4 point ASM belts are car specific.... and they don't make one for the CTR.

Which application are people using in the CTR?

This one seems to be a universal application: Schroth Harness

I’m debating on getting one myself 🤔 .

If you have a rollbar and bucket seat, use a 6 point. It will help to prevent you from sliding down.

Someone over at civicX used the Ford Focus-specific one with success in their FK8:

HPDE Harness?
