Hey everyone!

First of all, I'd like to thank the community, which has been really awesome lately. We've had a good amount of feedback, which is the key to our success here at FX3D Design. The way we manufacture the Rock Guards allows us to easily modify and improve our products.

We have a very well-defined vision of what we want to offer, and we have to work with the technical limitations of the technology we use, but you guys are able to challenge our ideas, and we love it!

Lately, I lost count of how many design iterations we came up with, but this time I'm here to inform you about the latest modifications we've made to the kit for the FL5 Civic Type R 2022+. Let's call that one version 3.1.

11th Gen Honda Civic FX3D rock guards FL5-rock-guard-fronts-2

1. The front guards are now about 0.5 inch taller

2. The honeycomb pattern is thicker and tighter

3. The front bracket is now integrated into the guard and has a subtle "Type R" logo

4. Fender mesh is a lot less flimsy than before and cleaner looking

5. Spacers are included to straighten the guard inside the wheel well and also to help drain rocks that could get stuck behind the guard.

6. For those that prefer the guards to be protruding more, we supply some 3M VHB tape that can be applied on the upper section of the guard and fender lip.

7. We also supply alcohol pads to ease the tape install as well as our short stubby screwdriver

Later guys!

Mine still looking great. Nice update with the spacers, ect.

I like that includes the mesh but I am thinking of removing it and installing one that is less restrictive. Yes the smaller holes will stop more stones but it does significantly seem to limit how much air can pass through. Not a big deal for most but since I do track the car I that vent is actually pretty functional .

Anyone know if the rears can be installed without jacking the car up? I have a set on the way and just trying to work out some of the logistics.

Installed mine w/o jacking up the car or removing the wheels. I think I used a stubby screwdriver or one of those right angle screwdrivers.

You could probably get away with not jacking up the car. The goal is just to lift the rear wheels a bit to gain access to the screws and ease the installation.
The screwdriver we provide with the kit is designed to reach tight places like that.

Has anyone just installed these on the front? Seems like that would be adequate coverage overall

Finally got around to installing my fronts today, very straightforward install! Only thing that held me back were those damn push pins. Even with a removal tool, they still snapped off and had to be excavated from the hole. Literally impossible to get oem pins off without marring up the fender liner a bit (which I know, is going to get marred up anyway lol).

That's why we provide the extra push pins ;) . They are a bit longer than the OEM ones so they fit better with the added thickness of the mesh. So don't be afraid to break them.

I installed today front and rear FX3D splash guards. Super solid product. Fits like a glove in the FL5 (at least the last iteration). Loved that they look great, discrete, unlike some other rally type options out there that are just too much. Instructions were super clear and took me about an hour to do everything.

Will test them on the track in a couple of weeks and see how they go.

For those who have fx3d rock guards 3.1 version, how do you manage to sit rear brackets aligned perfectly on the bumper underneath where bottom screw is? Our bumper that area is angled but the brackets are horizontal where put in the guards.

I think the lower hole where the bracket goes in should be angled like this one in the photo. The photo in the instruction was confusing because it shows the bracket is angled even though the bracket and the lower hole is 180° horizontally straight on mine.
