How many miles is the break in?

Once I get going on mountain / back road, all thoughts of break in procedures are gone.

I am only thinking about driving this fantastic automobile. It is like who thinks about contraceptives when you are in the moment.

Yes I don't intentionally redline it. My internal redline is not to exceed 5k rpm but...

This is a "flying" Honda. Light nimble like a jet fighter.

I mean it’s a K20. You’re not really gonna hurt it unless you’re VERY deliberately abusing it…like actively trying to destroy it. If you’re doing that, then it’s probably for “likes” from your followers or some other dumb reason. Approach break-in with whatever your priorities are. Want to help ensure the car has a long, problem-free, life? Have fun, but be sensible with it for awhile. Don’t care? YOLO? Well…we could start a whole new thread on how to rapidly break a drivetrain during break-in.

Its nice to be aloof and "in the moment" but while most of us are common laypeople, the metals in fasteners need time for hardening and heat cycles, the consistency of concentricity of pistons rings and cylinders is going to be aided by gradual reduction via pairing with each other. Engines are amazing and this one is a sweet one, so cooling the jets for a week or two is in order.

Why stop the party if it can go on for a long time?? Make that engine last!
