I feel you, brother.
It looks as if your car's bottom lip is trying to hold back that "I busted my lip and am trying not to cry so that I can look tough in front of Dad" face.
hahaha…. What I miss are companies that took the time to design a secured aftermarket lip, reasonably priced. While this lip had a better fastener design, its mounting is not as secure as I had dreamed. On top of that, at HIGH speeds, I believe it’s generating more downforce than the mounting points can handle. Besides an awkward driveway angle, I’ve hit nothing and the lip is as pictured.

The more I tried to baby and nurture this car, the more things happened. Doesn’t really matter to me anymore. Mentally, it’s now my bucket, knocking on 30k miles.

After this past rain on Central Texas, my Amazon performance special COVID-19 infused didn’t survive either. Mine was held by bolt, nuts, and 3M double-sided tape. So I probably will save some money and go all out on the Mugen, but don’t know if going color match or leave it as is. But I hate the spoiler, but I feel that I need a spoiler with that one, but it is a high order to pay the equivalent of a used car for all that, but I don’t know, I will be marinating the idea.
It’s a nice kit. The price however, is no longer a flex. It’s simply retarded. But I’m a retard… because I’ll pay for the arch nemesis spoon stuff 🤣

😂 You and me both, brother, even though the exhaust is ass! I was thinking about buying a couple of Spoon parts, but man, I really hate how much they charge, and their lip doesn’t even wrap the bumper on the sides. But it’s just frustrating, man, because I really want something for my FL5 but can’t deal with the pay me now and wait 40 years for the part. Hopefully, if I decide to pull the trigger on the Mugen, they don’t tell me that.

I'm only creeping up on 15K miles myself, and the exact same thing has happened to me.
I don't slam the suspension, I put larger than stock diameter tires,

and still took damage Memorial Day Weekend from a major pothole... ON THE FREEWAY... you know, where potholes AREN'T ALLOWED?
These Texas roads, man. They ain't no joke.
I have to replace my OEM air dam and get an alignment, and who knows what else.

So, yeah, I feel you, brother.
I hope you get everything fixed back to at least OEM+.

Cheers.

Aug 1st, as a reward....it ejects the front lip while driving 🤣. Imagine, I'm now road side, on the freeway, bouncing on the edges to break it free.

I’m alive. But car the car is dust… stay calm. stay safe. Better to arrive, than to not arrive at all. End of the Line for this journey.

I am ok guys, minor burns and scars to tell the tale. I have accepted and come to terms with a 50/50 ruling, of which I can still appeal. Before I do that, I must get the dash cam footage in the hands of CHP, it was destroyed but with the help of the manufacturer I was able to recover it. If he’s willing to rewrite it, it may help.

Glad you are OK, brother. Hopefully all your family and any other passengers are safe and uninjured as well.

So now, my morbid curiosity has got me wondering, "How's the other car look?".

Too soon?

ooooooo! That looks well cared for but I’ve already moved on. Currently fighting with insurance over mods. I’ll have to find my own appraiser to recoup that loss. However, there’s some good news to report, after the dash cam footage was delivered the deputy has submitted his report in my favor. 🏆

To say, this experience wasn’t a humbling one, I’d be lying. To say, I wish I could rewind time, would be ungrateful to the good work The Lord has been doing. In my downtime, I had the most honoring opportunity of a lifetime.

A buddy of mine was down and out. I met him right where he was, at the bar. Had a beer with him as we talked. Then, he dropped a personal life bomb on me and asked why does God, do this?

By the time I finished my beer, we hugged, laughed, cried and called it a night. I checked on him daily, shared scripture with him daily, and his reception to it all was reassuring. I could tell his Faith in Jesus Christ was lit. I did a follow up with him just this past week and things are on the up and up! 🤙🏾

if that wreck was the price, I’d pay it again and again. To know I’ll see him for an eternity is priceless. Although, it does hurt in this life…. because, man, did physical therapy kick my butt yesterday. 🤣🤣🤣
