Intercooler yes… downpipe no…. EPA pretty much shut them down from making them anymore from what I was told… any further update on this @PRL Motorsports ?

It would also be nice for PRL to make a front pipe for the FL5 since the FK8 one is slightly different….. but the FK8 down pipe works if you can find one

anything that modifies factory emissions equipment is illegal. I know in VA shops won't sell or install downpipes and emissions is failing cars with modified cats.

Sounds like you live in North Korea. I don’t have emissions testing where I live, and even if I did, as long as you pass you’re good.

Virginia is retarded. Used to live there and have to get my vehicle "tested" every year to continue to drive which is just a big scam for auto shops to ding you for nuanced things.

We are currently trying to figure out a direction/decision regarding downpipe offerings, but rest assured that both the front pipe and intercooler have been scanned and are currently at top priority for initial product offerings.

You already know an intake is coming! We are looking into a catback exhaust system for the FL5 as well, so hopefully we can put something together that you'll love here.

typically having a downpipe a tune sets the downstream emissions sensors to ready so it would fail in any states that require emissions.

Here's a first look at our prototype FL5 intercooler upgrade!

This kit will utilize billet 6061 aluminum end tanks with integrated mounting brackets, factory-fitment flanges and a high-density bar-and-plate intercooler core like the rest of our kits. A 28.35"x7.25"x4.3" core allows for a ~10% increase in frontal surface area and a ~28% increase in potential airflow volume overtop of our FK8 Intercooler Upgrade. By removing the factory air guides, our intercooler assembly was able to be pushed even farther forward and includes new air guides for maximum airflow.

Stay tuned for future updates as we machine end tanks, weld the assembly, test fitment and gather data.
