Hi all, I'm currently in the 7 day return window for a Type R I just picked up from Carvana. It's a 2024 with 1500 miles on it. There is what seems to be a window rattle that I hear directly to the left of my ear. It happens on most roads so far, I dropped it off for a quick visit at a Honda dealership and guy drove and heard it. He put some insulation or foam around a piece at the top of the door that seemed loose. Unfortunately that was not the problem.

I scoured the Forums here under the issues and couldn't find anything like I'm experiencing. I know car is under warranty but this is most I've ever paid for a car and really didn't expect it. Anyone else had this problem? Sorry I can't be more detailed.

I've read that the seatbelt height adjuster is a common source of rattles. Could that be where your noise is coming from?

Actually could be, think I remember reading something about that. Just picked it up today and only put 30 miles on it so gonna drive it again tonight and see. Thank you so much, I'll report back.

Sounds like the seatbelt adjuster. Adjust it to the highest position and if the noise goes away that's what it is.

I think I have 2 noises unfortunately, one that has a "rattle" sound from the seat belt adjuster area even with it all the way up, but doesn't happen as often. The main issue is the "ticking" that seems to be in the same area that happens damn near all the time. Or maybe the "ticking" is the adjuster and the rattle could be just the trim.

Ugh, heh. Love this car other than that, I would say I don't really pay much attention to it but I think because car is still new to me. Who knows how it will turn out if I keep it (short of doing the adjuster fix)

Definitely the seatbelt height adjuster. I put 2 strips of hockey tape behind the anchor ring to get rid of the annoying rattle.
