If anyone is in Houston,

most dealerships have their cars on the lot. The cheapest is a black one at Russell and Smith - 13k mark up and 1.2K in addons.

Easy Honda is at 30k markup and won’t come down and 6k in accessories.

community sold theirs at 10k markup.

Gilman Honda did a bid and it’s at 20k markup (this is prob a lie)

Sterling quoted me 10k markup then changed to 20k when I came in for paperwork. Final offer was 15k markup.

Big Star Honda - 20k don’t budge, just came in today though.

hope this helps somebody. I will only pay 10k markup and these dealers are calling each other to make sure they are on the same page (what my sterling rep told me on the price increase).
Holy shit. I'm purchasing in that area. I hope this means mine is there tomorrow

Dealerships making deals with each other on bottom dollar pricing is nothing new and doesn't surprise me one bit if true. Couple Acura stores in my area did this back in the day. The gentleman's agreement was how low you would go as to not undercut each other for that grinding customer that shopped both stores. Then the better sales person wins. How much you would charge was at your discretion.

Jay Wolfe in Kansas City is expecting a black one soon, $20k ADM. It was a very, very brief phone call after he told me the number.

None of this really matters unless you want the car asap. Honda sold 20k of the previous model in the US and even if they only sell 5k this time around most of the insane markups won't be sustainable.

Took delivery this evening at a $5k markup but received the following included in the package and all installed except for the wheels:

- forged wheels
- wheel locks
- trunk tray
- seatback protectors
- all weather mats
- high wall carpet mats
- light up door sills
- red leather shift knob

At retail pricing and with install, the markup was almost a wash.

Did they let you keep the factory wheels?

I can’t speak for him but my dealer let me keep the OEM tires since I had to buy all season tires to be able to drive around here. Couple of small things as well and letting me keep all the OEM stuff. Those Summer tires I think retail for $375 each. I am not that stupid? Lol. I will save them for all the track guys that go through there’s in 5000 mi. You can buy my unused set. 😉
regards
