Gtman~!! Glad to see you here as well on this forum sir!

Vehicle: 2024 Civic Type R

Total tuned time: Stock right now

Tuned miles driven: 0

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2.0 maybe if, there's support from them for this vehicle?

Tunes used: Nothing yet

Fuel used: 93 octane

Additional related mods: None yet

Problems/issues: None yet, give me time 😂

Driving style: Babying her until 600 miles, have 495 more to go.

Tuning experience notes: We'll see what develops here.

Why are there no post about K-Tuner that I can find on this site after about three hours of searching google etc. in regard to the K-Tuner units? Do I have to go with hondata for my new baby?
You have to have your ECU jailbroken by Hondata and only Hondata can tune it after that. KTuner works with every other Civic so I'm guessing they are not going to bother with it since they would have to do jailbreaking as well in some form.

Thank you for the follow up. I reached out to Drob and he said he'd do it for me. Much appreciated.

Total tuned time: 1 Hour

Tuned miles driven: 50

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2

Tunes used: Phearable Stage 1.5 Tune

Fuel used: 91 octane

Additional related mods: Spoon Sports Air Cleaner FL1

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Casual driving with occasional spirited bursts

Tuning experience notes: Previously had a 2016 Civic EXL that was tuned on the Phearable Stage 1.5 tune for the 2016 - 2021 Non-Civic Si. Was so much fun to drive, unfortunately that car's ECU was not compatible with map switching so I was always on Map 3. I ended up changing to the KTuner base tune Stage 0, it was better than stock, but I wasn't constantly chirping the wheels like with the Phearable Map 3. Ended up trading the car in later on.

I've had my 2023 Civic Sport Touring for over a year now. I only re-flashed the stock tune to disable rev hang. As much fun as it is stock with a 6 speed, I decided to get another OTS Phearable tune because it felt a little lacking. So much fun now and now I have map switching so I can change maps on the fly.

Will be adding additional cooling mods soon, IE, intercooler, Acuity reverse flow hoses, Spoon Thermostat and TSP Headbolts (just in case). Possibly upgrading to the RV6 1.5T FK8 retro flywheel and FK8 clutch down the line as well.

Will update later on with how its been and any upgrades.

How is the gas mileage compared to stock with ‘normal’ driving?

Most 10th gen Type R owners wind up tuning with Hondata. It just seems like Type R's are a big priority for Hondata more so than KTuner.

Matter of fact (I could be wrong) I don't know if KTuner even currently supports the 11th gen Type R.
They don't have any plans to support tuning for the FL5/DE5 as of yet.

Vehicle: 2023 Civic Type R

Total tuned time: 1.5 months

Tuned miles driven: 1100+

Tuning device(s) used: Hondata Flash-Pro Mini

Tunes used: Hondata 93 octane tune + Stage 1 burble

Fuel used: 93 octane

Additional related mods: PRL intake filter

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Aggressive, very aggressive… maybe too aggressive

Tuning experience notes: Easily the best $850 I’ve spent on the car so far. The increase in power is nice but I was more interested in the removal of the throttle lag and rev-hang. This is how the car should’ve left the factory.

Thanks for adding your car. Agreed. So many people think a tune is nothing but added power. And while it of course does that, it also improves the driveability of the factory tune in other ways.

Additional related mods: K&N drop in and PRL intercooler

Problems/issues: None so far

Driving style: Aggressive bursts here and there

Tuning experience notes: Hondata , PRL intercooler and tune - 2K

EDIT : 7/1 - Power delivery is far smoother and ramps up as opposed to instantly with tons of wheel spin and pulls much harder.
❤

Thanks. Not much to maintain or track as 99% of tuned owners here aren't participating. Lol

I also run a similarly "un-busy" tuning thread on the Integra Forums.
