Maybe I am going crazy but I am feeling some vibration (can feel it through the steering wheel) when car is cold until it warms up. Its very fraint but can definitely feel it (steering wheel specially), it goes away when car starts to warm up (basically gone in like 2 minutes) and then totally fine and smooth. I just don't remember it doing this but might be normal for the platform. Car has 2600 miles.

I have it to at times. Even my kids will question it. Initially when I bought the car nothing. But maybe after 5k I would feel it here and there. The off and vibration has persisted even after 30k miles. My previous civic si was the same feeling. But it doesn’t do it after I drove it initially. I wouldn’t worry because I haven’t

thank you. Not super worried about, its not a crazy shake, just a rumble, at first I thought was suspension related but since it goes away fairly quick that would not make sense and only happens when cold cold

all cars will have more NVH until warmed up. mine is especially bad when it's really hot outside and the a/c compressor is working overtime.
for sure and engine is idling higher to warm up quicker, etc but I don't remember any of my other cars doing this exactly.

Also AC has been off too but its not really cold outside either

I’ve noticed this rough idle upon cold start too. For me, it’s just one of the FL5’s little quirks that is completely overshadowed by the wonderful driving experience.

I can totally live with it, just wanted to make sure I was not the only one. Specially because I had not noticed it until recently, I am like 99% sure was not there until like 100 miles ago.

Its like the wastegate noise, I don't love it but can live with it (I also had to check for that because never had a car that did that)

Now that I think about it, I’m sure I didn’t notice it in the first couple thousand miles either. So I don’t think you’re imagining that.

If I had to guess there are bushings that are starting to settle and create more movement which may induce new or different NVH sounds/vibrations. If this bothers you I would highly suggest you stay away from any rear motor mounts. :)

ahah yeah RMM is not in my future.

It does not bother me that much though, I just wanted to make sure it was not an issue but I was not loosing sleep over it, has been doing it for a few weeks now.

Don't let this dissuade you from installing a RMM. At least in my case the PRL RMM added a barely perceptible increase in NVH.

I don't think the car has too much NVH and I could tolerate a lot more, I don't drive the car that much, weekend and track car. I thought about the RMM and maybe one day but I have not had any issues with how it is currently, from what I read helps 1st to 2nd and wheel hop, don't really launch the car so have not seen the need.

This happens in several cars I've owned after sitting for a long time (like a month), I figure its engine oil starvation. My Focus never did it until I didn't drive it for 6 weeks this summer. Then it did it the first startup. My BMWs used to do it to a scary degree.

With the Civics using such thin oil these days it probably just drains out quickly.
