How long you been waiting?
Not that long since I located the car - about 3 weeks, but initially they said they expected it within 2 weeks, which is still "maybe in two weeks?" when I asked on Wednesday. My VIN and dealer location made me think the car would be inbound this week but I guess not. My only concern is I need to close the purchase this month for my current loan to be valid. I go on vacation tomorrow so hopefully that will get the car to arrive :D

I honestly prefer buying elsewhere, if I bought the car locally it would be hard for me to do break in miles (plus there is a "Miami tax", dealers are asking +$15-25k) so I'll break the car in and get a nice road trip. I found some good looking back roads about 45mins-1hr into the drive home that will be perfect for a detour.

Did the dealer actually have an ETA date? Mine still say pending on their end.
I hope you get your car soon.
Enjoy the back roads. I’m sure you’ll be happy.

No date given. If I haven't heard anything by the time I'm back late next week I'll pressure my sales guy a bit more and see what he can find out.
We are definitely in the same boat.
Good luck man. Let us know if you get your car.

I know the feeling. I’m contacting my salesman every 2-3 days for an update. Good luck to you. Hope you get it soon.

Lucky enough to be on 2 dealers list(s) here for CW Type R, but ALL dealers in Portland, Oregon are sticking firm to their super-high ADM. Dealers also have stated that they are only getting 1 Type R in 2023.

Does anyone have additional info on CA, OR, and WA? Seems like every place on the map got a decent number of cars, but Portland only got a few. None even in WA at the moment, and only 2 in Cali.

Any additional info is appreciate.

Thanks ALL!
Hi fellow Portlander!

From what I know, there are no CW type Rs in Oregon in it's entirety the last time I checked- but also when I was looking back in like December it seemed like for the other colors dealers were looking for ~15-20k, one dealer asking for 25k at swickard honda (they were the first to get one in Oregon I believe. I went up to Seattle area to get my cw fl5, but let me tell you the process for having to register the car in oregon for buying the car out of state is def not ideal. Not sure of when or if Oregon will get additional models, I'm sure they will but this area also isn't a big market for type Rs it seems. Just a bunch of subies (saw like 20 WRXs on the lot at one dealership lol)

Up in the PNW it seemed like the second wave was mostly medium sized dealers. I would imagine the big dealers will get another allocation in early or mid spring. California was mostly left out of the second wave because they received so many cars in the first wave.

With so few FL5 up in WA, OR, and ID I don't think MSRP will be possible anytime soon. I think $5K ADM would be considered a good deal based on the limited supply up here. Transporting a car from the midwest to the NW would probably cost $3000 so paying some ADM to get one locally might make more sense.

Nice! How much is transporting it?
Looks like it might not happen. Will have to keep calling dealer until car arrives. First come-first served!

If anyone is interested or east coast, dealer in Vermont has been great and asking only $5k ADM.

Luckily I’m in no real rush and will continue to hold out here in the NW.

Shipping not that bad but puts car at $8,500 over all together.

Ugh! Taking way longer than expected to score an R!

Called a lot of dealerships over the weekend. Much of them are firm on 10k over for out of state purchases. Or they are all pre-sold. Look like waiting for next wave of cars. On cars.com and autotrader the numbers keep going down. 3 weeks ago it was 70 something, jumped up to over 110 during the weekend. Now it’s settle @ 68
