should have done the shifter linkage earlier.. that being said i am wondering WTF i found when installing them.. weird crusty spit from the assembly line to get the charge pipe on ig lol.
I also finally got around to reinstalling my MST intake and threw on the cold side intercooler hose. still a little sour about the red replacement MAF housing on the intake. Also found that the red CRC gasket remover removes powder coating.

Love the turbo flutter noises, but how does it sound from the inside of the cabin and not the engine bay? Any fly by clips?

Lets say for argument sake this is volume 10, inside window open would be 6, window closed would be a 4. Fly by’s coming soon.

So not sure if anyone had any issues with the RV6 bypass valve getting stuck and causing a CEL, but i try to contact them for a solution and or a replacement and they just brushed me off asking me to do all these vacuum test making me buy additional tools to perform the test. Even while i showed them and explained that the bypass valve had a delay opening up under vacuum, they said it’s functioning. Short story the piston either has debris in it or was not properly greased when assembled. But i moved away from RV6 and went to a new brand that I cam across on the Net. Here are some sound clips, and best of all it comes with 3 spring strength S-M-H… that no other brand is offering. I’m not promoting in any way shape or form. Just want to share with those looking to bet better BOV sound from their intake and turbo. Here’s what it sounds like on my PRL P700 pushing 535whp. Sounds should be similar on stock turbos and upgraded turbos as well, Spring strength will determine pitch and duration to some extent. I’m currently on the Medium spring, rated @ 15-23lbs. Couldn’t be any happier with the results and sound.

I remember looking at their turbos in my WRX days. I seem to remember they had a good reputation.

Thanks for the feedback. I went PRL because the consensus seems to be that it's not too extreme compared to other options, but interested to see if I can feel much difference at all given your experience.

Nearly stock baseline dyno on 93 octane. The only “mods” are an MXP exhaust with the stock downpipe and front pipe, plus the TSP coupler between the stock intake and inlet. Do either of those make a difference? Bare minimum, if anything. It was also a nice, cool 46°F day, so conditions were definitely favorable.

We’ve been using Tuning by Nick’s Dynojet for a number of years now, and DRob has remote/live tuned our cars on this same dyno. The numbers have always been consistent with what the cars would make on Derek’s dyno if we made the trip down, so I don’t really have a reason to say this dyno reads high. The car just made a little more than I expected. Maybe that comes down to the favorable weather, with a small contribution from the minor mods mentioned above.

Either way, the actual number isn’t the most important part. What matters is having a clean baseline to compare against once the engine upgrades start going on. We’ll likely be back 1–3 more times depending on what stages the car goes through.
