COBB intake requires custom tuning. I would lead towards PRL - they are also on sale. :)

I’d go Cobb. Full size filter, plus that access panel is pretty sweet. You’ll just have to retune for the maf

I would go with PRL since that bundle includes both the upgraded inlet pipe and intake, while the Cobb is only the intake and requires an updated tune for the larger MAF and is more expensive.

Seconded, it seems like a no brainer if you are looking for power gains/dollar. I have the PRL and love it, and it had a great result in hp for the price. Not sure of cobb data as I haven't seen any independent testing yet.

I just installed the Cobb redline intake and their OTS stage 1 + SF (91 octane in California).

So far I've only driven a short distance on the freeway, but I believe I could already feel a difference

Though it might be a placebo effect, after all, I >should< be noticing a difference for all that money I spent :)

The PRL intake has the best value to performance ratio of any intakes on the market. The Cobb intake requires a tune, which is an additional expense that most won't be comfortable with. Great intake just that the extra requirements can be discouraging for most.

Definitely PRL. Cobb requiring a tune is an automatic disqualification for me. Some folks are just looking for some turbo noises and don't want to tune a new car still under warranty.

I went with COBB for two main reasons:

1- CARB compliant (has the CARB sticker)

2- Larger pipe equals more airflow, but as mentioned, requires a tune

I wanted to get a jailbreak and COBB AccessPort custom tune anyway, so that was not an issue for me

It’s Carb compliant but it has to be tuned to run it .
So wouldn’t that make it difficult to pass smog ?
Don’t know just asking šŸ‘šŸ»

PRL is also CARB compliant (They'll send you the CARB sticker if you don't have it)

Most people aren't going to require that amount of airflow. I wouldn't want to have to be locked into tuning if I didn't have to be. PRL intake and a local Hondata jailbreak event means you don't need to ship your ECU anywhere.
