Few months later on sportline now on 265/35/18

The extra sidewall helps add a bit of comfort

The prokit is much lower than I expected. Glad I went with that instead of the sportline. If you are DDing the car in normal parking lots/exits a lip already might take some damage.

Sportline here, love the drop and how it rides ( have had these same springs on probably 6 cars but am dealing with a loud clink in the front drivers side. Eibach says it’s common with progressive springs and to grease the springs? I’ve had no joke a dozen cars lowered and never dealt with this. It’s SO WEIRD. Honda looked at everything and says it’s all good and springs are the cause of the loud clunk pulling in and out of driveways. I’m having a hard time dealing with this

I would probably do a reinstall on that front to make sure everything is good. I've had a ton of Prokit springs on many Hondas and never had any clunking.

Someone already mentioned it, but I'll weigh in that the camber drops to ~2.0-2.5 degrees with the springs. I have an ITS, and a Pro-Kit.

The other significant thing I'll mention about the camber is that the rear will be affected but not the front (significantly at least). To my experience, this leads to a noticeable addition of truly annoying understeer, but it almost certainly won't be noticeable until you're pushing the car to near its limits. I autocross 7+ times a year and noticed it instantly.

If this matters to you, I'd strongly encourage considering adding a set of adjustable lower ball joints to bring the front camber in line with the rear. I plan on doing this before I head to another autocross event. I may also add the roll center correction kit while I'm at it as I also plan on heading to an actual track again this year and I get the sense that any bump steer effects would show itself under those circumstances.

TL;DR, in hindsight after owning these springs for several months now, in my mind the proper route if you plan on doing any motorsports stuff with the car is to skip the springs and go straight to coils. I may end up doing that instead of sinking the costs more with the springs anyway.

I got away with 19x9.5 +45 Apex VS-5RS with 275/30-19 Falken RT660+ with zero issues.

The 18x10 +40 Volk CE28N+ with 275/35-18 Bridgestone RE-71RZ led to some minor rubbing. Also note that I did end up doing the ball joints for more front camber so have -3.5 up front, -2.2 in the rear. It rubs on all 4 corners. Overall it's what I'll continue to use for autox/track and I'll just live with it because the tires are that much better. But I kept the Apex around for the street (although I did swap to OEM PS4S, I just like them better for street use).

But also very important to note- it looks like it's recently been corroborated that Bridgestones and that spec rubs on the DE5, but the FL5 likely has a few more mm of clearance. That literally could make all the difference.

@optronix Awesome! Sorry to heat about the rubbing but glad you found a set up that works for you.

This is really helpful as I plan to get Apex VS-5RS 18x10 and wrap it with the same tire RE-71RZ at 275/35/18. Not sure if I can get away with 265/35/18 at 2 deg camber all around. Plan to get ball joints installed soon

To confirm, you were rubbing all around even after you installed the ball joints at -3.5 and 2.2 camber? May I see some pictures of the “minor rubbing” after all the motorsports you did?

Weather has not been cooperating, I'm not intending to leave you hanging. My plan is to get out there and get some detailing done today I'll take some pics. And also "all the motorsports" is just one autocross event as I've only had this setup on the car for a couple weeks. Pretty happy with it overall though.

You do need to cut the bump stops, the installation instructions state so explicitly and even have a diagram.

Hmm but that instruction states that's for the FK8 with part number E10-40-036-03-22. FL5 is E10-40-043-03-22. But I'll check the instructions that come in the box. You might be right since there's probably not much change to the suspension geometry between the two.

Hello - Hope I'm utilizing the right thread here. Would anyone happen to know if the FL5 and DE5 Eibach pro kits are the exact same, despite having different part #s?

E10-40-043-03-22
E10-201-006-02-22

I'm seeing a lot of them lightly used for sale on the FB groups saying they're interchangeable . Hoping to get confirmation from some of the experts here before I pull trigger on a set off a DE5.
