Thanks for the additional info, @s2kdriver80! I'm willing to pull the trigger and give this a try for myself and the community. I think there is a very high likelihood that it will work unless Honda/Acura locked it out intentionally. I have a few other parts to order from Acura that have been sitting in my cart so I might get it on order this weekend. Hopefully they actually have stock of this new of a part!

If the stamped hardware sub-part number on the ADS unit is identical to the one on the FL5, then it should most definitely fit and the connectors should be compatible too. On the software/firmware side, if being able to use the LE ADS on my base 21 is any indication, it's unlikely Honda locked out the ADS functionality on other car models that accept that same hardware.

Purchased.
The R is insanely bouncy in high speed corners.

I am hopeful this will work and allow me to run it in +R with traction control fully off for better livability.

If it doesn’t work as expected, it can be a learning experience.

Behind the left rear seat plastic. Similar to an FK8. I have not torn mine apart yet but I'm sure someone who unplugged their module took some photos.

Let us know how it goes. So this will affectively just make the CTR suspension behave like the Type S does in all the comfort,. sport and sport+ modes? So the type R R+ mode will be sport+ effectively? Seems like a cheap upgrade if that's the case. I think I saw it was $204 for the module

Yes. We’re all hoping the modes between the two cars map out to be the same. I’d say there is a good chance they do but not confirmed yet. If it works the FL5 will effectively be one step down in each mode which could be perfect for most of us.

If the springs are identical, then the ride quality should be the same, assuming the ADS is compatible.

Someone made a post somewhere about the springs. The part number is different. Not sure if they are identical though

Yea if the part numbers are different, then they aren't identical. Though I assume the changes are probably minimal (maybe to account for ride height/curb weight differences).

Can any of you guys help a brother stranded on an island in the southern hemisphere?

Looks like it has been confirmed to work 👍 I just need to find a way to get one

That's nice!! You can purchase it from any acura parts website and use a package forwarder service to ship it to you abroad. I have to do it for literally every type R part I need.

There is 1 in the entire country left, and all on backorder. I placed an order and they refunded it because they don't know when they'll get another. Called another parts place and same thing.

Very promising solution for the CTR bumpy ride. Great to see it doesnt affect the drive modes once swapped.
