I always have a valved exhaust, I never use it lol.

-Josh
I switch drive modes all the time. I have a 9 month old baby, so comfort mode when she is in the car and R+when she isn’t with me. The valves were also super helpful in the Mustang. Borla Atak was quiet with them closed and growled when open. Need that adjustability.

It's not on the list, but I still think the Remark Ti, in my opinion, is the best exhaust. It's loud when you want it to be, and quiet when you're driving around town. It utilizes actual flanges, it saves a ton of weight, the build quality is excellent, and it looks fantastic.

Are there any other exhausts that uses actual flanges like the remark?

There are a small number...Kakimoto, Spoon, HKS, A'PEXi, Amuse, Remark. There may be others; however, the vast majority of exhausts for the FL5 utilize slip joints.

Yikes. I’m surprised everyone is ditching the valve. The idea of being able to adjust the volume is super appealing. Blows my mind.
They’re ditching the valve because it makes very little difference in sound

I can't believe the stock exhaust with resonator delete is getting so many votes, it was a very minor increase in sound. Granted I still think it is worth it over 100% OEM due to the affordability factor.

Now that I have had my Remark Ti exhaust for a bit I can say I am very pleased with it. Slightly worried about it being a little too loud for my taste when I inevitably get an aftermarket downpipe, but we shall see. It is quite moderate in volume and sounds good*. I don't miss having an exhaust valve at all.

*"Good" is relative, still a K20C1 after all, haha. Not the best sounding engine but not the worst.
If you get the catted downpipe it should stay very close in volume. If you go catless it will be a lot louder.

Yep, plan on going catted. I don't like the tradeoff with a catless for a daily driver.

Glad to hear it doesn't increase the volume very much on this platform. I have had a car or two in the past where even the catted downpipe caused a significant increase in volume.

The turbo acts as a muffler so it will be tolerable and a minor increase in the worst case.

Do you happen to know if your remark exhaust is louder than a resonator delete?

Yes, the Remark is louder than a resonantor delete. I didn't find that the resonantor delete actually added much volume at all, it was a very minor increase.
