Was wondering the same thing.

A smaller 3” downpipe with a 200 cell cat might make similar numbers as TSPs 5” 400 cell downpipe in theory.

That’s where I’m at… do I spend the extra money on a $950 TSP downpipe or go with the $595 Maperformance downpipe or $750 on the RV6 downpipe and use that extra $200-$350 saved on a tune that will stop the check engine light
The cel isn't a big deal. Your tuner takes care of this. If you don't plan on getting tuning you know what to buy. However doesn't make sense to modify and not get tuned.

I think that paying the extra for the convenience, especially on car parts is important. You could opt for the cheaper pipe, but the CELs would make the experience worse. That said, my main concern would be future mod-ability. Let's say for example, I want to upgrade to a larger turbo, how big could I go? Would something like the RV6 turbo(s) fit?

Exactly, but if there was a back to back comparison of TSP and say RV6 downpipes… how would the dyno numbers look?

Bigger and more restrictive cat vs smaller with less restrictive cat

Is there any official data on the RV6 pipe? TSP just posted theirs, but I don't see anything on RV6s site.

My power comes from turbo upgrade and fuel. My turbo back exhaust system just allows it to breathe better. Your thinking way too much lol

I like the TSP downpipe the most. But I’m getting tuned so the no cel cat doesn’t mean much to me. So I’m curious if the bigger diameter means more hp than their rivals and justifies the extra cost.

If not, then I may as well save the $350 and go with the cheaper MAP or RV6 downpipe and use those savings on another mod.

I have yet to see a company post exhaust dynos ?
If they did and it showed a gain they are probably lying. :p Modern factory Honda "catbacks" flow quite well.

Well what's your budget and plans for modding? Any restrictions (like emissions related). I'd say you just go with what you can comfortably afford and if you really care about power, go catless. If it were me, I'd go TSP because I like PRL stuff.
