I’m running a @Jester04 tune now. I had a TSP tune when I first got my Hondata.

Downpipe did add sound. There is a video here on the site.

Just listened to your video and it sounds amazing!

Did you notice higher intake temps with the MAP downpipe since it doesn’t retain factory heat shield? Or did you wrap the downpipe?

The MAP dp is tied number one on my list due to affordability and quality at $680 coated.

Yes, it does. Adding a downpipe is tricky. You may love the way your aftermarket catback exhaust sounds, but once you add a downpipe it may sound like đź’©.
Yeah the factory cat is pretty robust for a 4 cyl. It takes alot of noise away.

I attached the top heat shield. The lower one was not retained and I did not wrap. My IATs haven’t been an issue and I don’t track the car. Jester did a ton of data logging on my car and everything was great. No issues with exhaust temps or car temps or anything. The tune does have burbles tuned up a bit over the setting that is default.

im currently waiting on the 27won exhaust and will make a new video once I can get it, get it installed, and get the tune adjusted.

True. Luckily for me, it made my Apexi exhaust sound better.

Do you have a sound clip you can share with the downpipe fitted to the A'PEXi exhaust?
No, I do not. I don’t own any go pros that I can stick to the back bumper.

I had all three resonators out and it sounded good, no drone.
When I got the rv6 catted DP installed it became too raspy and had to reinstall the big resonator back in.

We sell them. It's a great product aside from the CEL issue. (that can be resolved with a tune)

I’ve bought mostly every upgrade from you guys already and will buy my downpipe from you once I get some clarity. (Since you gave me the contact that got me my FL5 at MSRP). Plus your rewards system is great!

Im getting tuned so the no cel cat doesn’t affect me.

My question is, is your TSP DP worth the extra $200 vs the RV6/ 27Won when tuned. If results are going to be very similar, I may as well save the $200 for something else.

Also would the 27Won 200 cell cat make that downpipe any noticeably louder then your TSP 400 cell cat? Or would they sound the same?.

Any 200cpsi is going to be louder than a 400cpsi

also a GESI cat removes more particulate than a non GESI cat If it cleans more expect less sound would be my guess.
Take a look at this. It has some good info

https://www.gsportbygesi.com/

Your 200cell cat is not 200 cells. It’s 200 cells per square inch. Means it flows twice as much as a 400 for all intents and purposes.

More flow means more sound

now I’m sure there is some area above the curve of flow rated between the 2 but I’m not digging that up. I engineer enough at work for this here.

just remember that 2 db you gain isn’t worth the trees, animals, and planet you live on.

I'm choosing the DP that has been shown to flow above what most people are going to do even with upgraded turbos and fuel systems, which also doesn't require you to "tune" out a CEL, all day everyday. The TSP DP is so solid I wouldn't really consider another DP unless they offer that same feature with proven performance. If you're really that curious about effects on performance, go look through dyno results on @drobimw on IG and see how little of a difference those other DPs make in terms of flow.

Also, if you plan to keep your car past this current administration in America, do you really want to have to do that band-aid CEL fix when regulating bodies can swing back the other way? Turning CELs off is one of those things I don't want to mess with if I don't have to.

A tune itself is one thing, turning something off that can be categorized as being related to emissions-compliance is another.

Directly related to that ^, let's keep in mind crackdowns on shops and vendors for diesel and higher volume V8 cars that have been running rampant for years now. TSP even said PRL stopped offering their DP as they move towards products that are more easily defendable regarding emissions. 🤷‍♂️

If price is your number one priority then go right ahead, but it's really not that big of a difference IMO.

Then the only option with no turning off a CEL is TSP. And you can mount your heat shields and it will look OEM

Wouldn't it be better to get it creamic costed and wrapped in a heat blanket?

The TSP one can be cerakoted, and I'm sure you could find a blanket that fits
