How often are you supposed to run Full 91 Octane? Is it even required? When you dont run E85, is the tune back to a Stage 1 or 2? Thanks.

I think what he was referring to was that if I wanted to run 91 for a couple of thanks, I could go back to my Stage 2 91 Tune. But are correct that the CANFLEX doesn’t need the tube to be changed, my question was if you just keep the tune without changing does the sensor/computer/software revert back to stock configuration or does it go back to a Stage 1/2.Why do you need a 91 tune, isn't the definition of Flex Fuel the ability to run any mix of E any time and the sensor tells the computer what the mix is and references the appropriate boost and spark lead tables to compensate?
I would run 91/93 most of the time, especially in the winter unless you want the extra power of more ethanol. Ethanol attracts moisture and if your winters are humid/wet then you will want to change the oil a lot more often when running E, especially if you aren't daily driving the car. I set up my first flex fuel car in 2011. I am a big proponent of E85, love it. Just know it's not advisable to run E85 full time.
