I'll take another look next time I'm in the car. I have the navigation disabled, did that as soon as I saw the artifacts on screen while on Car Play. It was a huge jump on performance afterwards. Curious if I re-enable the Navi, if the performance will remain the same.
As of the last updated it didn’t help when I turned factory nav back on. I think the HU is just underpowered.

The head unit is real slow compared to the snappiness in the Accord Touring. I figure the LogR and digi gauge package in the TypeR is kind of a trade off for all of the tech in the Hybrid Accord Touring.

I can only assume the update is currently only for the FL5 and they may be slowly rolling it out to the other trims since I wasn't able to check for an update.

I ended up getting an error 6382 trying to connect wirelessly, apparently it was not able to connect with Honda's OTA update system, and I tried doing it via USB, but it kept telling me the file from my car I needed to upload to the site for verification was corrupted. 🤷‍♂️

Checked both my 2025 FL5 and my wife's '24 Civic Touring. Both say "Up to date".

Well, I'm dumb. The car has to the in the on position or fully on in order for the wifi or USB to load and detect an update or you'll receive the error or corrupt usb file. Got it to work, says up to date, so no update for me yet.

Might try this too once I get the car to actually update.. mine sees the update but "cant connect" even though its connected.. I think I know what to do but will try the USB next.

Anyways.. having factory nav isnt something I really need but sometimes it can be handy in a pinch.

Make sure your car is on and not just in accessory mode. I was having the same problem.

I did, but I think it didnt like that I was connected with Apple CarPlay so I am going to disconnect my phone from the car and then try the update. If that wont work ill use a USB stick.

Yeah, update the connection to be connected to a network, either wifi or a hot spot from your phone and not Carplay. Should give you a notification when you do that that Carplay will not work.

I like to pull up in front of a Honda dealership. Our car will auto connect to the network at any Honda dealerships.

Connected cars are not your friend...I'd suggest reading from this post forward in another thread if you want to start mitigating the mothership and dealers from harvesting data from your vehicle and connected devices.

It is a personal choice. No TCU or apps for me as I only install updates via USB to ensure that my car remains disconnected instead of being constantly monitored...Cell phones already track way too much.
